Set data limit cut-off on Motorola C Plus Android (7.0)
I want to be able to set data limit cut-off on Motorola C Plus Android (currently on 7.0) so that as I reach the threshold my phone stops using data automatically.
My phone 'System updates' tell me my software is up to date even though I am only on Android 7.0. Therefore, I guess, there is no standard provision for an upgrade and I don't know if this budget phone is capable of it.
The 'Data usage' option in 'Settings' only provides for a fixed 2.0 GB warning but not an adjustable cut-off.
I think that may be if I could upgrade to a higher Android version it might cater for what I want.
An answer from anyone who knows and has experienced fixing this would be much appreciated, but I do not want a theoretical 1001 suggestions of try this, try that.

There is no centralised upgrade system for Android like there is with iPhone.Android updates are provided by the phone manufacturer, not Google (unless you happen to have a Google device, which you don't).Anyway:https://www.bestusefultips.com/set-data-usage-limit-on-android-nougat-7-0-7-1/ might be of interest.

Seems OK with me using Chrome with uBock Origin and the SSL site certificate is valid. Strange.flaneurs_lobster said:Malwarebytes says that site's hooky. Are you sure it's OK?
