I bought a Google Pixel 7 in November based on MSE’s phone finder tool which said that I would receive a £100 voucher within 30 days of the 29th of November.

I and many others, documented at ID mobile’s forum, have still not received our vouchers and I wanted to know if we have any recourse or if MSE Know anything about this, and if they would be prepared to publicise what looks like a scam.

  • First thing to check is the terms and conditions of the offer.  Does it say "while stocks last" or similar?

No nothing like that. Judging by the number of threads on the id mobile forum , we’ve all been monumentally scammed. This was an offer that MSE promoted, presumably without checking the credibility of the source.
  • What have iD Mobile said about the issue when you've contacted them? Maybe there's just a delay in sending the vouchers out. Shouting scam seems a bit unnecessary at this stage, especially if you're accusing MSE of being part of a scam.

Leaving aside whatever was on MSE - what did the retailer actually say about this offer at the time you bought?

And did it say that you would receive a voucher within 30 days, or that one would be sent within 30 days (and was that 30 days or 30 working days)? As there has been a postal strike (and some public holidays) ...

Those were my thoughts - is it an evoucher or a physical one?
Because an item I posted on 12th December is still somewhere in the depths of royal Mail’s systems.

For any valuable advice. People need to see the T/C of the offer.
Clearly there will have been when item was purchased to agree to.

So I have had a look at the offer and the terms and conditions, they had until the end of the day yesterday to send the voucher, it would have been sent to the email provided at the poit of purchase, so to be sure double check you supplied the correct email and also check your junk mail as well.

The terms and conditions specifically say "whilst stocks last".

All that being said it does look like all the virtual networks offering this deal (there were three offering the same promotion) are having problems issuing the voucher and appear to be saying thay they will began batch sending yesterday which might mean it takes a few working days to get through them all. Not ideal, but equally not worth raising one's blood pressure over.

According to the ID mobile forum referred to by northernlass29876 https://community.idmobile.co.uk/ask-a-question-18/100-currys-gift-card-not-received-50257 the offer (now expired) was:
Get a free £100 Currys Gift voucher included with purchase of the Google Pixel 7 only. Offer runs 16/11/22 – 29/11/22 or whilst device stocks last.

As the late queen so diplomatically put it 'recollections may vary'.

  • Recently purchased a phone contract with the ID Mobile network, which included a Google pixel 7 phone and a £100 curry's voucher, all for a very decent price per month. Offer stated this voucher would be sent to customers 30 days after this offer finished. This offer finished on the 29th November 2022 and this voucher is nowhere to be seen and from speaking to the network they don't appear to be doing anything about this.

Would this all constitute a breach of contract and therefore I could leave this contract with no fee due to the company not fulfilling the order?

    Any advice would be appreciated
