+1 to this.
I did it when I received an item that I'd bought for the 3rd time - the seller cancelled the first 2 sales as they 'wanted more' for the item despite not setting a reserve.
We recorded the opening of the package when it finally arrived.
Happily, everything was OK.1 -
Ok so I received the item back today.
Fortunately all is well - in fact its better then I had of imagined. The item box has had the plastic wrapping removed of course, but the box is still in new condition - no damage etc.
When I opened the box it was as though nothing had been touched. The item was still in its protective wrapping, the manufacturer stickers etc all in tact - so it looks like it’s untouched.
Tested and all working ok.
Hence I can place everything back in the box and resell it quite easily - sure, I can’t sell it as still sealed, but the condition is still as new etc.
Buyer is now blocked of course, but as good of an outcome as I could have hoped for!
Many thanks for all your comments etc.6 -
Had a similar situation with depop. Buyer had the item delivered and then contacted me to say the item delivered wasn’t what he bought. He said he thought the courier had switched the item in the parcel saying the parcel was all ripped. This was all lies as Evri provided a photo of the delivery. Depop acted in his favour and wanted to refund him £175 asking him to return what he claimed was delivered. Only when i threatened police action did the buyer confess he had the jacket trying to say that his neighbour had stolen it even although Evri delivered to his home, not the neighbour! He immediately withdrew the buyer dispute begging me not to go to the Police. I was disgusted at how Depop managed this giving scammers undue rights.2
