Customer service is best for me, when I’m spending that amount of money then I don’t want any problems if it goes wrong.
Then you need Apple Store, you can take it back anytime with software problems and get it fixed for free. Accidental damage is a different matter
I thought the Apple limited warranty was only for a fixed period of time (1 year or 2 years from when it was originally bought). Is that not so?
Yes it is for hardware but when you have a problem with an Apple device take it to an Apple Store and they will do their utmost to sort it out. Last time I went with a problem, I reset a MacBook Pro so I could sell it I deleted everything by mistake, took it into an Apple Store and they had it plugged into their system for many hours and fixed it for free.
An iPhone I had trouble with a software issue 18 months old, the software couldn't be fixed and they gave me a brand new iPhone
Apart from Apple, I was unsure of the customer service from cex, musicmagpie, backmarket etc during any warranty period. Are they reliable and easy to deal with?
