I found a pretty, midi length dress at TKMaxx, in my size, for a wedding a few years ago for under £20. As it was flowers on navy blue, I had the accessories to match it already.5

I've just bought a dress for a wedding - off Ebay so I don't have to feel bad about it! I spend ages agonising about dressing up: I'm fine in jeans, thanks. Obviously I haven't tried it on but it's a 'good' make and cost under £30, and I think I've been realistic about my size (though I can't be sure: I've not worn that make while I've been this size).
So anyway - no coupons spent.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

@PipneyJane, the outfit is essentially shades-of-red! A red velvet jacket, red hat, bag & granny boots, teamed with a red dress with a white daisy print. The jacket, boots & hat are a darkish red, almost (but not quite) maroon, the little bag is a bit brighter and so is the "ground" of the dress - can't call it a background! I'll be wearing one of my mother's Indian jewellery necklaces, not sure whether the stones are darkish rubies or spinels. It all seems to work! Now all I need is completely different hair...

Hi all,
@thriftwizard your post sent me off down the seasalt rabbit hole and there are some lovely things there. I have had to give myself a stern talking to to resist buying anything. I don't need anything but the linen and organic cotton are such a temptation
. Your outfit sounds really lovely
Take care everyone7 -

DD buys SNAG tights, so I have ordered for both of us to get 25% off warm tights for next Winter.
I bought myself three pairs of their Special Edition, merino wool-mix tights for £38.23 instead of £50.97, and no delivery charge.
2 points a pair, 6 points.
28 points used.3 -
