No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries January 2023

@VALM I would get them as gifts but none of my friends wear lip colours - they're all low maintenance nivea lip balm people 😆
Decided to have a bath last night and ended up with a flurry of UU's and then a couple more from this morning as I was getting ready:
Lush Snow Dragon Ballistic: this was cute, smelt great and liked the foaming nature of this rather than fizzing. Have another one in the stash to use
Aromatherapy Associates Soothing Face Mask 15ml: Another product that's been open a while and thought I should use it up. Liked the effect of this but not the smell (too rosy for me).
Cole & Co Pomegranate Body Lotion: this was from a Christmas present and a little travel size. Didn't really smell of anything, took a while to rub in, but skin was still soft the next day. Have a million other body lotions to work through.
Wild Deodorant refill: does the job, not much else to say. Replaced with another refill in the stash.
Nuxe Reve de Miel lip balm: turns out there was less in the jar than I thought...really love this lipbalm and will probably repurchase once I've worked through the sample tubes I have of Glossier balm dot com (although can already feel that they probably aren't going to be moisturising enough for me)
Wet n Wild Brulee eyeshadow: HG, use every day as a base shadow and to help blend everything else out. Replaced with the penultimate one in my stash.

UUs:-
Had a bath tonight and finished my LUSH Toby’s Magic Cow bath bomb. Another lovely one.
Also finished another piggy soap. I have 2 left but am actually bored of them so are not rolling them in for now. I had a little disaster. A whole bottle of Faith in Nature shower gel spilt into my drawer. The packaging of one of my soaps got wet so I’ve pulled that out to use. It’s from the Diddley Squat Shop and is an exfoliating bar. Felt really good.

INS
- Mad About Skin - Got you Covered Super Serum: replacement, as mine will likely run out this month and with postal issues I didn't want to risk it.
- Mad About Skin- All Day Protection Antioxidant cream- 30ml: bought this to try as my night moisturiser which ran out over Xmas, however on arrival it's a much lighter consistency than expected, so it's not hugely appropriate for PM
. However I could layer it under another moisturiser for a double whammy. I'll give that a go and see, although I may need to get another night moisturiser if still too light
- Mad About Skin - Protect & Hydrate Sunscreen SPF50 PA++++ (100ml): my daily SPF ran out over Christmas, so wanted to give this a go as replacement. I tried it on the back of my hand yday (and behind ear/jawline today) to patch test, and seems good so far. Was lovely and light, left my hand looking velvetty, not greasy, and feeling very soft- I am excited to get this on my face tomorrow!

Another UU : Hado Labo cream. This was lovely. I bought it at the time as I couldn't get my new favourite one by The Comfort Zone. It was out of stock everywhere. The Hado Labo one was a great replacement however the consistency of The Comfort Zone is more gel like which I prefer. MRM got me a tub of The Comfort Zone for Christmas so will see which I'll buy when that is done. Anyhow, would definitely recommend the Hado Labo one.

A couple of declutter's to report:
Sali Hughes x Revolution Must C serum: a 10 ml sample size, was ok, didn't really notice it doing much to my skin and felt that it went "off" quite quickly as it's in a jar rather than a pump like the full size so didn't want to carry on using it.
Sali Hughes x Revolution Gel Quench Anytime Moisturiser: another sample size that I had to declutter because it kept making my SPF pill up and didn't feel like it was actually sinking into my skin.
And a UU to report:
Biossance Omega Repair Cream 100ml: this is my HG night cream and the limited edition 100ml size lasted me about 9 months. Have another mini size and bought another 100ml in the boxing day sales but have replaced with a mini size of one of the Glossier moisturiser creams.

UU
- Pantene Grow Strong Conditioner with Biotin and Bamboo: Not sure how well this works for growth/strength/hair fall, but it does make my hair nice and soft. Didn't use with the shampoo as I already had one open…. Perhaps I should have swapped it out so that I was using both at the same time. I might repurchase in the future, but for now I have an OGX Argan oil conditioner to finish, and then I want to try the Umberto Giannini Grow Long Lengthening Conditioner as it sounds like it has lots of good ingredients (caffeine, seaweed, marine nutrients)
INS - a delivery arrived last night of some replacements, and one naughty! All from Facetheory- Lumizela Azelaic Acid Serum A15: Mine's running out soon (perhaps today, we shall see!), replacement ordered now to give it time for postal delays
- Exaglow Serum S10 with Tranexamic Acid, Vitamin C and Liquorice: Mine's running out soon, replacement now to give it time for postal delays
- Ocuwake Eye Cream with Chamomile, Vitamin C and Liquorice: My current eyecream won't be long for this world, and since I was making the Facetheory order I decided to try their one as I've heard good things
- Green Tea Face Mask with Kaolin Clay, Chamomile, Vitamin C and Avocado: Errr, naughty purchase alert! I have a clay face mask in a tube (a Simple one) that I need to crack on with but it's quite uninspiring, and the ingredients in this one sounded really good, so I added to cart. Good start
Free Gift with purchase IN- Cera-C Pore Reducing Toner T1 with Niacinamide, Ceramides and Vitamin C - 30ml: Sounds nice, look forward to trying it at some point

Yep, the Lumizela did run out, plus one more item!
UUs- Facetheory Lumizela Azelaic Acid Serum A15
- Sanex Zero Shower Gel (dry skin): cleans and non-irritating. Have a different Sanex version in the stash, and the other half got a lynx shower gel at Christmas, so we're all good for shower gels for a while!
