another one chipping into say if you want to buy a house ad are willing to make the changes to your budget to let you do it then 1860 is a reasonable amount.

you have probably been disciplined to save up the £50k (i'm assuming its not an inheritance or gift). that's more than a years income so if you have been saving from your salary then you can make this happen.

if i was you i would set a goal to buy a house/flat within the next 2 years (or 1 or 3 or 4. whatever feels right for you).

first priority i agree with others is to pay off your credit cards then dont get into more debt until you have the house. you can use them but pay them off in full from your income each month. that way your credit score stays healthy but you dont pay interest.

then given your age and if the cash is currently in a savings account you can access i would suggest you pay 4k each year from your deposit into a lisa. that gives you an extra 1000 a year 'free' money so you can recoup some of what you use to pay off your debts.

then look at your budget. think about what matters more.

sky. a gym membership. a new car.
or freeview. being careful with your heating. mealplaning to a budget and shopping around. owning a house and using the bus/train/walking/buying a bike/buying a cheap second hand run around.

only you can decide whats more important for you.

It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?

Please consider buying some pet food and giving it to your local food bank collection or animal charity. Animals aren't to blame for the cost of living crisis.

I have lived alone quite a few years now and until recently earned similar to you.
Its very do-able depending on your lifestyle/expectations. I love being at home so dont spend on going out every week.
I easily get food shopping for £160-£180 monthly and could probably cut that if i needed to.
Council tax for me is about £100 a mth with discount.
    Mortgage is £400.
Gas/electric for me is currently £100 monthly (3 bed house)
I consistently spend no more than £1500 monthly on all outgoings which includes car insurance, fuel, hair appointments etc.
Maybe research a bit more on the actual cost of things for your area so you have a realistic view on it. Its more doable than people think as long as youre realistic with how much you have to play with after the essentials
