Lebara SIM did not arrive and managing two SIMs

I signed up for two Lebara SIMs after seeing on the MSE that they were offering a great price and a Vodafone signal.

In the past, I have used them and the SIM cards arrived within the 5 day stated delivery period. Their online system management is smooth and customer service in general are great. I ordered the SIMs with a view to transferring my number over to one of them from my old network. Order was placed on 14/12/2022.

I know there were/are postal strikes. However, I did order a SIM from another provider for someone else in the household on 19/12/2022, and that arrived within 3 days and is up and running. Today is the 27th (well over the 5 working days since the original order), and my two SIMs from Lebara have still not arrived.

I spoke to the Lebara Live chat who initially suggested I go to Tesco to get two temporary SIMs and then recontact them to do a SIM swap. However, I requested them to post two new SIMs which they agreed to do by Special Delivery for free.

The Live Chat agent mentioned when I asked for clarification that "You don't have to do the SIM swap anymore. You will get the pre-activated SIM cards". They also advised that I could manage both SIMs via the one e-mail address/account that I signed up with.

From what I have seen on here, some have had issues where they had to recontact Lebara and get the number transferred over as the new "replacement SIM" wasn't active.

I managed to ensure that I got the "temporary numbers" that were assigned for each SIM from the Lebara agent just in case I need them.

Has anyone had this issue before where they had to order two replacement SIMs and then do a "SIM swap"?
In addition, has anyone had any issue in terms of managing their Auto renewal with multiple numbers (in this case two) assigned to one e-mail address?

The postal strike is worse in some parts of the country. So I wouldn’t read too much into one set arriving and another not. They will have been dispatched from different places.

We bulk posted our Christmas cards from Cambridgeshire on 8th December - some arrived just before Christmas, some after Christmas and my daughter who lives in Wolverhampton still hasn't received hers yet, so ordering stuff in December for delivery by post was a lottery.

My wife is still waiting for an Xmas prezzie that was sent from Essex to Wolverhampton on the 8th December and still hasn't arrived.

Even stuff we ordered in late November took a week or more to arrive if it was being carried by the Royal Mail and a 48 hour tracked parcel took ten days from collection to delivery.

Anything from Amazon or other couriers was arriving the next day. TBH the Royal Mail had lost the plot a long time before the strikes even started and this latest episode will just hasten their demise.
Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers

I just received the replacement SIMs thankfully today by Special Delivery. The irony is that the original Lebara envelopes also arrived by post on the same day.

In any case, the replacement SIMs worked instantly thankfully when I popped them in.

Yes I get that. Though the irony is that the original SIMs appear to have arrived by post on the same day as the Replacement SIMs.
