Goodness me, I go away for a weekend and look at everything you've all been up to!
Misjudged my prep before weekend away so had to do a top up shop last night. I'm at £167.05 of £180 and I am hoping to make it to my Feb big shop on Weds without any further spends. Wish me luck!Grocery Challenge

Good afternoon. This weeks spend is £61.38 with no other groceries needed. The monthly total so far is £237.30 with one more week to go (my weeks start on a Monday so I still need to shop for the week starting the 30th).
The House Troll had 2 teeth out today ready for his brace so I went to buy him some soup for his dinner later. Since when did a can of H***z tomato cost nearly £2? I found a pack of 4 cans for £4 which is slightly better (he has another 2 teeth to be removed in a couple of weeks) and they will be used but goodness me!9 -
Went to Aldi for a rare visit. Didn’t do a proper shop just a few things to try and some stock ups

I agree re soup and beans! 😱
Got another shock when doing my Tesco online order. Hardly any eggs!!
The only ones I could get were £2.20 for 6. Walked to Aldi today and got 15 free range eggs for same price!

I do still have a few items I need to pick up, but confident I can keep to budget before Fri which is when I get paid. This will be the first time I've kept to my budget in forever.

The squash are really starting to rot now so I am eating a squash based diet with other things thrown in. At the weekend I'll probably prepare and freeze the remaining few. I've changed my week to start on Saturday so January is a 5 week month and there is still one more week, starting Saturday 29th. At that last shop of the month, I'll spend as close as possible to the whole £19.00 to put me in a good place for the beginning of February.8 -
It is one of my daughters' 14th birthday tomorrow, so I went to Asda to buy her some sweets/biscuits/treats. Birthdays is a separate budget, but while there I did find myself buying a lot of snacks, sweets, other rubbish that I really didn't need.......There were a few proper groceries (tins of beans, margarine, etc), but there was far too many biscuits, sweets and chocolate.Total £35.32 grrrr.
EDIT: realised I had missed a few grocery spends last week .Corrected total is actually:

May just scrape in under budget - my gluten free prescription food is ready to be collected tomorrow, which will help see me through.
Wish I’d kept all my receipts, it would’ve helped to see what could be cut down. Will do that for next month.£176.25 spent / £200 budgeted.£23.75 left.‘When you only have two pennies left in the world, spend one on bread and the other on flowers.
