High All,
I have an O2 sim text and calls unlimited with some data costing me £10 p/m
The device does not do 5g.
Any ideas how to keep it O2, but cut cost, possibly pay by D-D. a 12 month contract is risky when O2 can't be sure when the local 3g will be switched off.
I just need calls and text
Many thanks

Well done, many thanks to you. I see that they use O2 network. If you know do shops such as poundland have their sim cards, would you trust R-M at the moment?

I have a O2 monthly bundle for unlimited calls and text which is only £5 per month, and if Rewards are claimed this reduces to £4.50 per month. I've noticed that for new phones that it is not offered on O2 website, but the option is always available when I top up.2

PeterGr many thanks to you, but sory to be a bit slow to reply.I have an unactivated SIM of the type that you describeThe £10 pcm SIM bought from Poundland for unlimitted calls plus text and 6GB of data works with the phone attached to my router.Since O2 aggressively refuse to let people try out SIM cards, how do I know without trying the sim for real first? What sort of person would marry a complete stranger? Many thanks to you0

It does cost the network something to provide sims so not really a good business model to give out millions free of charge ...
I think that you will find other networks have similr policies.0 -
Most networks/mvno will provide free sims. Some of them will receive calls and texts (for 3 or 6 months) without being topped up. Many will try to get you to topup or choose a monthly package when ordering but have the option to say no.

Do you need to stay with/avoid any networks in particular?
