Yeah i am pursuing Ryanair - but they are totally ignoring all communications. They are actually breaking the law0

You can refer your case to the alternative dispute resolution (ADR) service to try to get what you're owed.
For Ryanair, Aviation ADR handles complaints and claims for redress on behalf of passengers who have failed to get anywhere directly with the airline. You can submit your claim using its online form.
To be eligible to make a complaint against an airline, you must have already complained to the airline directly in writing and either received a final written response (sometimes referred to as a "deadlock letter") or given the airline eight weeks to respond to your dispute.

Thanks for that. I have already submitted an official complaint with Ryanair - without any response. I then submitted a claim with Aviation ADR and am currently awaiting a response.1

M&S credit card have denied the claim. Basically - if you think you are covered (by any means), if there is a strike - then you aren't.
Everyone i have spoken to on this thinks they would be covered.
The Office of Fair Trading and the Law Commission agree that this is wrong.0 -

Only scan read the back story but cannot see any prior comment about a claim being made against a credit card?
Was it a chargeback or S75? Given Ryanair I am guessing it was a Chargeback?
What were the grounds for refusal?
Law Commission would have nothing to do with it and is literally just 5 people... they advise parliament on laws that need updating, repealing or simplifying0 -
Office of Fair Trading no longer exists doh - i guess the government is happy with unfair trading0

My intention here was to inform others. I suspect most people will think they are covered on their travel insurance. They aren't. The Key facts document and the Insurance Product Information Document (IPID) both state you are covered by cancellation. The latter document also states what isn't covered. So you read them and think you are covered. But in addition to those exclusions are some more - hidden within their 97 page T&C document. I am sure some people on here may read all the T&C documents that they come across. But the Key Facts and IPID were conceived for those of us that have a life and dont read all T&C documents.0
