At this moment you will not be able to get the payment automatically.
What is planned is that many who are not eligible due to lack of a domestic electricity account with a energy supplier will be able to apply for the £400 from January 2023.

Please note that this is still only a plan, nothing is known here how it will work and if really everybody will qualify.2 -
Not everyone will get it. This was in Tuesday's MSE mail. It's in the section about Park Homes -Essentially almost all types of tariff will be covered by the scheme, except any fixed contracts that were signed before 1 April 2022 - this is because the Government said fixed contracts before this date have not been "exposed to the recent rises in wholesale prices".

So, to qualify on a park home site, you'll have to apply to the site operator's provider and prove your residence on that site which they supply? Or will the site operator have to register all his occupiers as eligible? Either way, good luck with that...rangout said:Not everyone will get it. This was in Tuesday's MSE mail. "Online applications will open in January for households in England, Scotland and Wales who are eligible for the £400 EBSS Alternative Funding to submit their details, alongside a helpline for those without online access. Payments to households that meet the eligibility criteria – including people who get their energy through a commercial contract or who are off-grid – will be made by local authorities in Great Britain."
Always best to look at the source as well as articles reporting on it.0 -
Thank you. That rules out anyone on an unregistered site or a site which is 'technically' non-residential and where C tax is not being paid. What a can of worms that could be...Spoonie_Turtle said:

How are the LA going to verify the site operator's tariff status? There is no statutory obligation for them to provide such commercial data.No free lunch, and no free laptop

My mother died in jan 2022 and we’ve only just sold her house ( 20.2.23 ). We’ve received the 67 per month up to beginning of Feb 23. I’ve just sent the final reading and received the final bill. Question is should there be a final payment of 67 against this bill ? I’ve asked Eon but got no reply

The final £67 for March will go to the buyer of the house. It's paid to whoever owns/occupies the property on the 1st of the month.Barnsley, South Yorkshire
Solar PV 5.25kWp SW facing (14 x 375) installed Mar 22
Lux 3.6kw hybrid inverter and 9.6kw Pylontech batteries
Daikin 8kW ASHP installed Jan 25
Octopus Cosy/Fixed Outgoing0 -
If someone holds an energy account for the house on the 1st March it will be credited to them. I don't know exactly how house sales work but if you/your mother's estate no longer own it then logically you probably wouldn't expect to be credited the last payment.rose28454 said:My mother died in jan 2022 and we’ve only just sold her house ( 20.2.23 ).
