  • Just gone to set up DD  to pay card, I was expecting to select Min payment but the 2 options are Full Balance  or Fixed
So I make it I can pay just 1% of the balance each month?

"Each month, the minimum monthly payment will be the greater of:
    (i) £5 or the full balance if less; or
(ii) that month's interest, any Default Charges and that month's Instalment Plan fee(s), 1/12th of any annual fee and 1% of the remaining balance (including any Instalment Plan balance(s) but excluding any annual fee)."

Usually on fixed payments if they are below the min they will be auto bumped to the min amount, but its best not to rely on that and make sure if you use fixed, that its at the very least a little above the min amount, sadly one cannot set things like % of balance or £xx above min payment.

I successfully applied for the RBS card yesterday and chose to balance transfer as part of the application.  It offered minimum payment as an option for me.  Perhaps it only offers when also balance transferring?
  • All very strange.
Logged on this morning and thought might as well set up a fixed payment and now "Minimum Payment" is now one of the options

You can’t BT from Natwest to Natwest

It is to transfer from another card, it was just that I had previously opened a Natwest Balance transfer, which was now cleared, but still open. On the search It came up with Natwest 18 months 0% with 0% fee, but on the app the offer was with a fee.

Anyway, I have cancelled the card and reapplied. Looks like will be able to get a new card with the 0% fee.

I was wondering, If I am doing more than one balance transfer, can I do them at various different dates? I have only done one balance transfer before, which was just a one to one transfer.

Yes, I did a 2nd one via the app a week after my first

  • can do transfers at different dates long as within the first 60-90 days or whatever the stipulation of the lender is

that is Natwest to a tee - very strange, I bank with them they will not give me a credit card for some unknown reason yet they will grant me a £2100 overdraft - makes no sense
  • First credit card statement after 3 days, this was before DD set up or even the card arriving! it did include a BT that was set up when card taken out.
    Is this normal?
