  • Ok so shes mostly doing better, apart from about once a day shes going outside again and when she goes indoors its on that new mat but last night she had a huge accident right at bedtime and jumped out of bed at 12.30 and pooped everywhere.

Only change was a few days ago changed her treats to another brand which coincided with when she got more loud/barking in evenings and for about 3 nights didn't want to go poop at her normal evening time.

The only "positive" about last night was that she went the rest of night without waking and didn't go again until lunchtime.

I didn't rush her out instantly as wanted to see if she settled as noticed recently I was rushing her out just if she woke not if she showed any signs.

Tonight she hasn't been since 6.30pm except a wee.

So she had a change in treats, then was louder in evenings, went off her normal poop habits, had a big accident followed by a longer than usual sleep and still not back to normal pooping?

That sounds like an upset tummy due to the new brand of treats not suiting her.
Personally I wouldn't give her those again, if you haven't already stopped.
  • Still barking but improving, she still has accidents indoors but less often and goes longer between potty but has regressed on the playing games in garden i,e she barks and pulls lead for up to 20 minutes before going if at all, she now is going on walks as long as its in the field and rarely on the grass at side of pavements (well she wees anywhere but poops only in fields/wood area)

Her diet has changed as I ran out of the good dog food and had to use cheap stuff for 2 days whilst I got more good stuff and went for even better stuff but mixed in about 1/3 of cheaper stuff to bulk it up so not sure if thats why she is more vocal in evening and going less,

She rarely bites feet anymore, she does pull arm sometimes but not as often, she has all but stopped chewing furniture but all that may be because I am taking her on longer/more rewarding walks i.e 30 minutes on average through wood area which takes me out by a bus stop that drops me back off about 2 minutes walk from my home.

The only huge poop accident she had was last week when I had relative staying, she stole a slice of toast and 2 plain rolls in evening then had 2 large poops before bed, a large poop in my bedroom at bedtime, and a mini poop during night in my bedroom.

Only other change is I got rid of the sofa I had in living room as got a much nicer one cheap in a charity shop as its a recliner and one side doesn't work and puppy now no longer naps there and sleeps on floor instead, I wonder if its because her smell is gone (and the old dressing gown I used as a blanket for her on it has been replaced with an actual blanket)

Shes going most of the night now without wanting out sometimes just once, sometimes twice sometimes not at all.

Did get her a checkup with vet as multiple people have said shes small for her age and they said shes fine and only mentioned one of her baby teeth hasn't come out that is meant to and thats probably why she still wants to chew sometimes.

Still stressful but I feel more used to her now, and she is starting to play with toys more especially in evening she can pick up her rope toy and drag it around floor.

Do you have enrichment toys for her such as a lick mat or a snuffle mat. It will stop her getting bored because as she gets older she maywell need more activities. Another cheap idea is a bog with scrunched up newspaper with treats (i.e. a small amount of her normal food taken from her meals). To start with just throw it under the paper but as she gets the idea you can wrap the individual pieces in the paper. You can find many more ideas if you googe dog enrichment. Hopefully this will stop the chewing. The other idea I can offer is scatter feeding her or doing a "sniffari". Shut her in another room and hide pieces of food in the room she isnt in so she has to find it. Brain work is hard work for dogs and tires them more than walking. Just a few thoughts for you if you are already doing this please ignore this.

Shes getting there, I think she may have a UTI though as she still wants out once during night but apart from that she never has accidents and if she wants out barks then when I stand goes to the door and wags her tail.

Everything else is slow progress but thats more as shes still young, she likes to pick up things on walk and ignores when I say drop it, she still begs but is a tiny bit better so rather than just jump on me and never get down ifI say "off" a few times she will, sometimes she jumps back up but after a few attempts just lies down patiently, also have to be careful as she likes to jump on side and grab things to eat, she doesn't chew but instead she loves things like scraps of paper, or anything small to eat.

She is very good at learning tricks, she knows how to roll over give paw, and if I say "kitchen" she knows it means she goes in there and I am going out alone, I even took her on a few trips to town where I tied her up, a few yips but otherwise she sat and waited, much different than around Christmas when I last did it and she was just jumping around barking.

She long ago stopped biting hands and feet, she has regressed when on walks wanting to jump at my hand and bite lead and has accidently bit my hand or hip doing so.

She still does bark when Im on phone but not always, today was a great day I had a call from family and she just slept on the sofa and she except a small occasion when she wanted out twice in a row I was able to spend 2 hours playing a game on my computer.

Only problem now isn't with her but my dog sitter has moved away and I don't know any other locals that will just a 1 hour walk a day for under £16 and I want someone with her most of the day even if it costs £30.
