Well done Evri!

I know Evri is not everyone’s favourite firm so I had to tell you of my experience.
Having lost 26 kg
I treated myself to a beautiful sweater for Christmas and New Year. I ordered it online from M & S and paid £4.99 extra for it to be delivered on Sunday otherwise it might not have got here on time.
Imagine my surprise and pleasure when it arrived on Saturday. That means my Sunday is now free.

I think evri are fine. You just hear a small vocal minority who like to say they’re rubbish. I’ve had hundreds of parcels delivered by evri/Hermes and think I’ve only ever had two lost parcels in the last ten years.2

There was a complaint before from someone annoyed because a parcel was delivered a day before the stated delivery date. Sometimes couriers just can win.3

Mixed dealings with Evri - not so much with couriers but the tracking. Tracing suggests parcel has been collected from retailer, updates to held at depot. Next advice is that parcels on its way, eta next day. No delivery. Check tracker, parcel still shown as on its way, then at the depot, then it’ll now be here in two days time. Pop up the shops, parcel gets delivered to neighbour, our default location for their deliveries.Am assuming tracking is updated centrally until it physically leaves the hub when it’s done by the couriers? Just wish it was a bit more accurate0

Hi, I just wanted to say well done on the weight loss, that's no small feat. As someone who's trying to shed some weight, I am in awe.
Also want to say that we have two regular Evri couriers who are really efficient and we know their names, too. (Husband and wife team but work separately). They even live nearby. . .
I've never had any problem, when they were Hermes or now they're Evri.
Thank you for being supportive to them because they need some praise as they do get a lot of criticism on this forum.
I hope you are pleased with your M&S purchase, you really do deserve it. I think, anyhoo

Package due by 08/12 - Evri finally delivered on 13/12, neighbour also had one due from them (different supplier) due 05/12, then 7/12, 8/12 and finally arrived 10/120

Our local courier is also great but the parcels have to get to them first, this seems to be the main problem. My delivery has been on hold since 10th.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -
Hi
Every delivery service goes through a bad spell, especially during adverse weather etc.
We had a mass of problems with Hermes years ago but sine the new person started years ago, service is 101%
I'm sure its the same for this company
I'm pleased for you OP
Happy Christmas.2 -

As I have to take time off work to ensure that I'm in when a package is delivered, I also wouldn't be happy if I had arranged delivery for a set day then it came early as this would mean two things.
1/ The package would end up getting left in a "safe place" (which is often anything but safe) and,
2/ It would mean that the day I took off work would be a waste of a days holiday as it would be too late to cancel this.1 -
