Did you park in accordance with the posted Ts&Cs? Not all disabled parking slots are free - some are just bigger and reserved for blue badge holders only.

Check if you needed to pay or not but
contact PALS at the hospital and because it was a genuine oversight etc, tell them and they often sort it out.
Good luck.0 -
The details for blue badge parking are on this web page https://www.lancsteachinghospitals.nhs.uk/car-parking-concessions
Blue Badge Holders
For Blue Badge holders to access free parking during office hours (see below), please take your blue badge and your vehicle's registration number to the General Office and your details be noted for free parking.
The General Office at Chorley and South Ribble Hospital is located next to the main reception. The General Office at Royal Preston Hospital is located inside the main entrance.
For those looking to register their vehicle out of hours (evenings and weekends), please email a photograph of your blue badge (both sides) and your vehicle registration details to CarPark.HelpDesk@lthtr.nhs.uk and the team will register your vehicle for free parking.
Registering your vehicle at either site will ensure you are covered for both Hospital sites and free parking will be in effect for the duarion of your Blue Badge.

The blue badge scheme does not apply on private land but unregulated private parking companies like ParkingEye would have you believe otherwise.
Making a disabled person jump through hoops to obtain free parking that an able bodied person does not have to do is a breach of the Equality Act 2010, but ParkingEye won't care. ParkingEye use ANPR scameras and not foot patrols. The former can't tell if a motorist is parked in an accessible bay let alone whether or not they are displaying a blue badge or have some other indicator of a disability.
As advised above, take this over to the Parking Forum which is a sub forum of the Motoring Forum where you will get all the help you need.
In the meantime, register the blue badge with the hospital via email to prevent this happening again.
Complain to PALS and your MP, and remind them of the governments mandatory requirements with regards to hospital parking.

If a cancellation is not forthcoming then the registered keeper should appeal using the template in blue text you will find in the sticky Announcement for NEWBIES you will find near the top of the parking forum.
The Notice to Keeper (NTK) arrived too late for the keeper to be held liable, so make sure the driver's identity is not revealed in any complaint or appeal.
Include a copy of the BB with the appeal, and a copy of the registration of the BB with the hospital.

One hospital I go to I can just park up and put my blue badge out.
Another that uses ANPR. You have to register your blue badge and car registration; or go to one of the desks, show your blue badge to get a barcode to use at the pay machine so you're not charged.1 -
Yes each hospital seems to have a different procedure.
At Blackpool Victoria you park up in a disabled bay and put your blue badge on display.
Go to your appointment etc and then go back to your car. Take out the blue badge and the token, go all the way back to the entrance where the pay machines are. Scan the badge pur in the token, take out the token, go back to car.
Hope that no official has booked you because car no longer has blue badge in it. Drive out using token to open the barriers.
At Preston you have to take your blue badge to an office inside the hospital and register your car for free parking. You can add 2 additional cars as well. Then future visits will be free as the ANPR will recognise your car. Not sure if you can register by email at Preston like you can at Chorley.
So the 3 main hospitals in our region all have a different procedure!
