So this isn't an illegal, unsafe, meterless connection, but just a shipperless supply? And they made attempts to find the supplier?FlaatusGoat said:A lot of people questioning the quality of the installation. Again I'm not prepared to dox them or start giving people a breadcrumb trail but they used a reputable local firm (it's a well known company that's been in the town for decades) as I understand it the meter was never registered and their supplier kept dithering and not getting back to them when they tried. It was a 'computer says no' moment each time they rang.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Why not check the property on the 'who is my supplier' website?0

How much do you reasonably have to do to inform the supplier if they continue to take no action to bill you?0

You have to demonstrate that you've taken reasonable measures to trace a supplier and get billed for your usage, But, if the supply has always been shipperless, they can't be back-billed anyway: as there is no supplier to back-bill them.Krakkkers said:How much do you reasonably you have to demonstarte that you've have to do to inform the supplier if they continue to take no action to bill you?No free lunch, and no free laptop

Is there any chance that they could be backbilled for the "Free" gas? If so maybe you would possibly be doing them a favour by dossing them in befor the bill gets too large.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -

You can't be back-billed for a meterless supply, because there is no measure of consumption. No free lunch, and no free laptop
