  • Happy January 94th!  :D

Great news on some left over for extra on the cards! Do you find it helps to prove to yourself this is a priority to you?

Enjoy the gym! You're probably right on the cold weather and running. Thought I gave myself pneumonia the other day  :D

Great to hear things are going well  :)

Well done on the card shuffling and sending the clothes back.  It will be a  great boost to get under that £10k next month.

Re the travel to Devon, is a National express coach card a possibility?  Last year I got a senior railcard but what with strikes and one thing and another I did not get the use out of it so this year I opted for a coach card instead.  The coaches are way cheaper than trains.

Thanks Matt! It’ll be January 200th by Tuesday I think! 😅
yes it definitely makes me feel better having money left over or atleast not going over my budget for once! I could go out tomorrow night but the cost of the ticket; £20, drinks and a taxi home would probably be 50 altogether. I can’t justify it so I’m being good!! I’ve only got £14 of my budget left plus £4.66 for food lol. There’s other money in pots, Xmas savings, save the change pot but I want to save that for an overpayment.

Haha I bet 😆 I feel like I’ve been getting pneumonia just in my flat it’s so cold 😆 I went to the gym! Already feel better for it, I’ll go again tomorrow or Sunday. Need to get my moneys worth haha

Thank you! Yes I can’t wait to get under the 10k mark will be a good feeling!

I’ve not looked into a national express coach card, it’s such a long journey though on the coach it’s painful 😅 and I live in Hertfordshire so I have to get down to Victoria in London, that’s probably more than the coach itself 😅
I looked into a network rail card and it doesn’t cover down to devon unfortunately, only in and around London. But I don’t go down to Devon too much so it’s worth the expense every now and then

    Morning all!

I’ve been up hours it feels like 😆 I went swimming at 8. Had a quiet weekend no spending, going to my sisters for a roast later.
I won’t be spending anymore money until payday on Tuesday now so I’ve worked out what I’ve spent this month

Groceries £149.67 - disappointed it’s this much I was going to try and bring it down and I’ve bought no alcohol for at home this month 🤔 though I guess I have bought some cleaning products etc that I wouldn’t buy every month

Travel to work - £28 - this would normally be £71 per month but there’s cheap fares for a couple of months so good saving there!

Other spending - £176.62 - not a bad amount within that was my new gym membership and a couple of long distance train journeys. Only bought one coffee out this month!

£449.47 off the credit cards. Think it was about 10,650 start of the month and I’m now at 10,240. Only £35 of interest. I’ll have about £70 extra to pay off from leftover money but I’ll hang on until Monday night incase I need to spend anything!

I’ve got £28 in Xmas saving pot that I’m using for birthdays too, trying to put in £1 a day.

im going to a hen in May in Marbella, flight and accommodation is already paid for but I’m putting aside money every month for spending, plus I need to book a train to Bristol to get the flight, annoying but hey ho. Everyone but me lives in Devon! £95 in this pot at the moment

I got impatient 😁 I’ve paid off £85.92 off Halifax from my remaining money for the month. Then tomorrow I will transfer £417 onto my new balance transfer card to save on the interest starting in feb 😄

155 away from getting under 10k!

£2 paid off CC3 today from a vinted sale. I listed loads more clothes on vinted and Depop over the weekend and I’ve had a little flurry of sales so more money on the way!

Payday tomorrow but will have to wait for statements to come out I think by the 7th before I’ll go under 10K 😁

Happy payday! No spending today or yesterday. Paid £5 of Halifax yesterday from a vinted sale. Then £11.89 has come through from Depop from another sale so that’ll be going off a card. It’s slowly heading to below 10k
I’ve done the balance transfer just waiting for that to go through.

Been to the gym twice this week not sure how long I’ll keep it up but my holiday is my motivation at the moment haha.

    Happy hump day!

    Happy Friday 🥳

My balance transfer is being processed… I was worried it hadn’t worked for some reason because I had no confirmation and it’s taken 4 days to appear! I’ve also done another transfer between existing cards because virgins 0% is ending in June so I’ve moved it all bar what I’ll pay the next 3 months to Halifax on 0%. I’ll be able to pay that and Halifax off before both 0% periods end so that’s good and saving me interest! I’ll update my signatures once they’ve gone through and can see the new balances!

Also got nearly 20 to pay extra off my cards from Depop sales but I’ll wait until I can pay it off the new card 🙂
