If you make a regular journey may well be worth investing in a Railcard - you could use some Tesco points for one if you have any as they give 3 times face value for them.
Oh I’ve just realised you meant about the train to Devon sorry 😆
unfortunately I’m not eligible for any I don’t think, I used to have a 16-25 then a 26-30 but I’m too old now! It was a massive difference I used to save over £30 every trip!

Right I’ve done it, I’ve paid what I’ll save this month from the bus £31.10 off Halifax! 😁

Yes that's what I meant.  That's a shame.  Do you travel with anyone?  If you do you could get a Friends and family railcard.

The network railcard is £30 per year and gets you 33% off on most journeys. I got a discount for my railcard last year and got it for £20 and it saves me £10 every time I travel to work. I am not sure you can use the network railcard for peak trains, depending on where you live.

  • Nice one on the payment to Halifax! It feels better when it feels voluntary, doesn't it  :D

I really hope this isn't getting in to creepy territory - but guess who else lives in Hertfordshire?!  :D Hitchin specifically, for the coffee shop/people watching experience!

Good news on the bus saving.

Sorry you were declined. I was always told wait 3 months if there was an issue but don't know if that's still the case.

No I normally just go down on my own unfortunately! Only really travel on the train to see friends/family or back in the day when I wracked up this debt and went to London all the time 😆

Oh wow I will check that one out! Even if it just saves me money when I travel to Devon would definitely be worth it!

Yes much better! And not deducted by any interest 😆

How funny! 🤣 I saw you mentioned about going into Cambridge but presumed you were in Cambridgeshire! 😆 I’m in Hertford! Hitchin has loads of good coffee shops so I don’t blame you for that!
