Nice one working out the best option, Bekah. The banks have had enough out of us over the years I'm sure, so keeping as much as we can from them can't be a bad thing
Pizza good btw?1 -
Yes they definitely have! 😆
The pizza was really good! A nice salami and mozzarella one 👌
back to normality in the office today 😴 I only work in the office half the week though, but… a little win this morning… I’ve found out Arriva buses are doing £2 single journey to anywhere until end of March! So £4 return this saves me £3.10! Plus will be a bit more than that because I sometimes get a lift. I get the bus about average 10 times a month so this will be £31 saving per month! Yay!March NSD 14/15

Get in! £124 saved for nothing sounds like a juicy contribution from Arriva
How was work? Bit of a shock to the system isn't it 😴1 -
I know what a result! 😆 I’ve set the savings this month aside in a pot! (Virtual pot)
Work was tiring! Massive shock to the system, I worked between Christmas and new year but from home (well my mums) so still felt in the Christmassy mood. First day back after new year in the office was a struggle 😅
NSD today. I looked on the mse credit club where it shows cards you may be eligible for and I’m 90% likely to be accepted for a 0% balance transfer card with Tesco! Either 15 or 20 months. I already have a card with them but it says you can have two. I’ve done some calculations, if I transfer all the rest of Halifax and part or possibly all of virgin which 0% ends in June it’ll save me nearly 200!And the Tesco apr is 6% less than Halifax and 4% less than virgin so will be saving interest even if not paid off by the time it ends. So I’ll gain a card but get rid of possibly two cards. I might apply tomorrow!March NSD 14/15

All sounds good! How did you get on with the application, if you went ahead?2
-
I got declined! 😆 seems you can’t trust 90% haha oh well. Makes me more determined to clear the Halifax now asap. Not much to report, I’ve had a very low spend week only buying groceries but trying to use up what I’ve got in. Still a dry January!£60.87 minimum payment made to barclaycard. £4.37 cashed out from TopCashback. But added that to a pot I’ve started for train fares. I live in Herts but come from Devon so occasionally go back there to see friends but the train is so much money. So I normally end up putting that on the credit card so thought I’d start saving a pot to fund the fare rather than adding to the debt.March NSD 14/15

If you make a regular journey may well be worth investing in a Railcard - you could use some Tesco points for one if you have any as they give 3 times face value for them.1
