Santander Boosts

I'm fairly sceptical, to say the least, that Santander Boosts are of any benefit but I've just received my first email with various links to offers and competitions.
I'm asking any of you who may have used these links, if you've encountered the error message below. Santander chat could only recommend making sure javascript is enabled in my browsers (it is):

After looking at this latest 'innovation' in banking I quickly realised it should have been binned early on. Its truly terrible.

I've only just received an invite to this.On the website it says:"be signed up for Online and Mobile Banking and have the most up-to-date version of the mobile app installed"which is contradicted in the terms & conditions:"To be eligible for the Santander Boosts service you must... be registered for Online or Mobile Banking"If they can't be bothered to make their terms clear, I can't be bothered to join.

I find using the new Santander Boosts to be very tedious and awkward to use.
The first time I used it I logged into it and clicked through to the company I wanted to buy from. When it came to paying for it, the options were to use paypal or a credit card. I ended up using a non-Santander credit card as I don't have a Santander one.
When I rang to complain to Santander that I was unable to use my Santander debit card and that I had missed the Santander Boosts discount, I was told that I could have used Paypal as a guest user with my Santander card. Well, who knew! I didn't and nothing on the Boosts website told me I could. The adviser was more interested in explaining how I could have used Paypal than dealing with my query.
I asked for this to be logged as a complaint and I did eventually get a call back. I was asked how much I had spent and how much the discount was. As I was on my phone, I had to go onto loudspeaker and try to log into my Santander Boosts to find this out, plus find out how much I had spent. Typically, I got the password wrong and couldn't find the percentage ( I had assumed that Santander would have known) and was told not to worry and was given a goodwill credit for missing out on the discount. I ended up slightly better off with the goodwill payment, but why is it so difficult to use?Not Rachmaninov

I’ve just received the ‘offer to join Boosts’ email too after opening a Santander Edge current account. I was going to take them up on their offer but I might look into it bit further now before doing so. The last thing I want to do is to jump through hoops just to save a couple of quid! I don’t mind putting a bit of effort into it but the reward should definitely outweigh the effort i believe£12k in 2025 #27 ( £7,000 / £12000 ) 🤞

I am not a fan of boost, had since November but hardly use.
it used to be retail offers all maintained in the app and you activated an offer and spend was tracked against the debit card (on and off line)
what I have seen from boosts is a huge majority are for on-line payments, so for me a big step backwards.
this devalues my benefit from the 1-2-3 account and I am now switching out as a switch bonus is more valuable.Challenges

Had registered for boosts when I got the email, just to look into offers available. One month later found an offer that would give me 15% cashback on a first purchase at Wayfair, so logged in followed the instructions and paid with my Santander debit card. I have never had the cashback and am now mysteriously locked out of my account and every attempt to get back in is rejected because my card is already registered to that email. TOTAL RIP OFF:mad: working my way to financial freedom0

I signed up for Boosts, thinking it would work in similar fashion to their previous cashback scheme - they’d advise what offers were running, you’d use your debit or credit card to pay, cashback would eventually arrive in the account, jobs a good-un.Sign into Boosts now and you’re immediately signed out of your Santander account.Too much hassle0

I signed up not long after it started in November, have looked into the various offers a few times but there has never been anything suitable. Unlike the old offers system which could also be used in stores, the offers are all online only as far as I can see, the website is really badly designed for customers to use, you have to trawl through so much to find so little. I have closed it as it is not worth the trouble.0

Quite agree, there always seemed something in the old system that you could save a few bob on, not now. Like you, I don’t bother looking at it0
