Could She get Refund?

Hi everyone, 

A family member bought a ticket to Spain and Porto via an agent. She is NOW bereaved so can't go on the trip?

Is there possibility of getting a refund? This trip involves easy jet and Portuguese airline.

Who is the best to contact? Agent or airlines?

If it is a close family member (partner, parent, sibling or child) then most insurance policies will cover it if the death was close enough to the travel date. 

The airlines may offer to allow her to rebook, or convert the flights to vouchers, but it would be entirely on a good will basis and she has no right to vouchers or a refund.

Easyjet T& Cs state :
5.3.2 If you need to cancel due to a family bereavement: please contact our Customer Services Team as soon as you can. Our team will review your case and if your circumstances qualify we may, in our discretion, offer you a refund, fee waiver to change your flight or flight voucher towards the value of a subsequent flight, to be used within six months. You may be asked to provide proof of these special circumstances.
