  • Hi I am sorry to hear your news. You are doing great and have a fab mindset, so manifest your perfect job working from home, or as near to as possible, with the same or better salary and no car requirement :-) Your redundancy can then be used for other things and that is your £10k target met for the year in month 1. Best wishes V x
  • I'm sorry to hear this. My husband went through redundancy last year but luckily found a job quite fast where he is now on better pay and long term prospects, I hope you can find something quickly that suits you
  • Sorry to hear that, how stressful. But as you say, you have other income routes, debt to family can be delayed for a while, and that's a good chunk of money if you're able to put some of it towards debts. This might turn out to be a blessing as the amount you travel takes up so much of your time, focus, and wellbeing. Hope you find a job you're excited about very soon x

Sorry to read this, even when partly expecting the news, it is still a bit of a shock. Great to read about the response of your family, very supportive of them. Fingers crossed a job comes along quickly that will be interesting.
  • So sorry to hear this. It happened to me on November 6th, and I most certainly was NOT expecting it.
I had exactly the same thoughts as you - ANY job, ASAP etc.but remember to take time to process.

I also wanted to keep as much as possible. ;Im now in a position where I got an offer before Christmas, starting Feb, my choice. I was contracted to end December, where they originally said November, but took garden leave as much as possible. I have 3 months PILON, although i put a lot onto my pension to prevent the tax man taking too much, plus my redundancy.

It is easier to say, but do take time out and think, try not to jump into the fire.  This could be a great debt reset, so i truly wish you all the best.

    Lots of love

    MM
