The ICO thinks it is personal data and you should complain strongly and invite them to reply to the complaint you'll make or cancel. Unless of course you were the named driver and it's not your VRM.

- "Free parking" doesn't mean free of rules. Check the rules and if you don't like them, go elsewhere

In regards to where I heard this news, word of mouth and across this forum really. Not saying I believe it, I just raised it as a question.
