@Mrs_Salad_Dodger - I was so enjoying your account of your journey, then was horrified to read of Mr SD’s injury. I hope there is some improvement this morning. Or that otherwise he can have a rest day and some medical attention. Healing vibes>> coming his way.Bag for life dropped off at the charity shop and the box of books were collected. Also, a pile of stuff taken to the recycling centre. It’s nice to see them go. Now I shall start another bag and box. I’m having to remind myself that I have many books that I only look at when I am considering moving them on. I then think that it looks interesting and I will keep it. It goes back on the shelf until I am going through again! I’m trying to break this cycle but it is proving tricky. Many very difficult 🐸s to be eaten and I don’t have any appetite for them. I have to keep eating them somehow as they won’t go away. It’s just one foot in front of the other at the moment. My creativity has dried up for now so I am focusing on getting rid of things. Mr MV is as stressed as I am so we are trying to keep focused on our own agenda and not get trampled or derailed by other people’s behaviour. Thankfully our children are very supportive and grounded.15

@Mrs_Salad_Dodger your holiday sounds fantastic. I love a holiday when you travel around and see lots of things (and have nice food). Funnily enough, I've never been one for just sitting around. I really hope Mr SD's knee feels much better after a rest overnight. Fingers crossed for you.DD had a raging temperature last night and I ended up being up most the night until it went down post medicine and then kept having to check her regularly, so I am exhausted. Whilst I was trying to stay awake, I went through a huge amount of files on my laptop and deleted loads of them. I'm almost there now with the general files and it'll just be the photos/videos left, although I also deleted some of those that I realised I didn't want and will never look at. I've deleted 80% of the general files on my laptop, which is mad! Why did I have all that stuff! Hopefully it will save me money (as well as the environment) too as I plan to switch my cloud provider later this year and definitely won't be needing as much space to back up all these files.Digital:

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Good morning from a very damp Scotland 😔 I had a slightly better night - first sleep 1.5 hours but 2nd one was 3.5 hours 🥳 Of course after that I dozed fitfully until 07:30 when we got up. DH had not too bad a night 🤞 The ice packs seem to have worked in that the knee is not hugely swollen & he has been able to move around. We took 2 bags down when we went to breakfast at 08:30.
As it is pouring down at the moment we are sat in our room whilst I write this post. Then rain or not we will be heading off.
A bit odd that I keep dreaming that I am cheerleading & am then bitterly disappointed when I wake up 😔
Hope everyone has a good day 🤞

Mrs SD - hope the knee continues to be less painful.
DGs J has been here and painted both sides of the cloakroom door - now to keep reminding Mr F not to go in there.
Booked a blood test for Mr F only to find it clashed with a dental one so had to cancel and rearrange.
Finished my sewing this morning - I have ordered more fabric.
Made 2 dog Christmas stockings. I thought they would be good sellers as reusable instead of the net ones in shops - great for the environment too. Plus owners can choose the treats that their dog likes. I am going to make cat stockings too.
More photos on craft stash thread.

Hi all, I have had an exhausting few days
. Lots of socialising, driving, eating and chatting
. With some decluttering done in odd times when I could
On Friday we had a 2 hour drive to visit OH's bil for 70th birthday celebration. Lovely weather luckily as it was in the garden. Lots of fun had with the German based great niece and nephew. We had taken gifts for both as well as the baby. Great niece's gift was an array of wash off nail polish as she is currently a bit obsessed with nail polish. I came home with bright red talons which lasted until the shower the next morning
We came home with loads of left over food, our contribution of 2 very large plates of fruit was all eaten
. Due to roadworks it took much longer than it should have. There were roadworks on both the major routes with the roads actually being closed
meaning detours and smaller roads 😠.
On Saturday we were at a bbq for a friend's son who we have known since birth and who used to call me aunty. Unfortunately the weather was atrocious so the bbq was abandoned and cooked on the grill, still lovely though. It was a quite a long day though so even though we were home at a reasonable time I was cream crackered
On Sunday I had thought about going to a craft thing but as it involved a drive into n Wales and I was so tired I changed my mind and just mooched in the garden
Yesterday OH's car needed to go into the garage so up early to chauffeur OH home, then I had a dentist appointment, all fine except their card machine was down but luckily I had enough cash to pay. Then I went to OH's house to collect mail and check all was ok. Then I had to take my car to get a new bulb fitted. Then dropped my prescription for toothpaste into the chemist and home in time to take OH back to the garage to collect repaired car. I picked up coffee and we had a catch up with ln over the fence
between the showers. Then back to the chemist to collect meds for OH and we decided to go to the local carvery for tea as we were both starving and would have ended up eating carp while waiting for something to cook. All I did when I got home was order my meds and some crochet. I am now on the final round and am fairly sure it will be finished tonight
I have caught up with all the posts but have not retained muchbut lots of great decluttering happening
.
@Mrs SD, I hope Mr SD is recovering. Knees are quite tricky things. I had to have a cartilage op on my right knee and I was amazed at how difficult life was for a few weeks while it all settled down. Your mention of Glenbuck took me off on a trawl through my photos as I made a journey there to see the memorial. It was put up by Liverpool fans who couldn't believe there was nothing there for the great man. We do love a statue or memorial here
. The latest type are paintings on the gable ends of houses and Paul O'Grady is currently being put on 2 adjacent walls as both himself and his alter ego Lily
@Florenceem I love those dog christmas stockings such a good idea, can't wait to see the cat one. Are you doing it fish shaped?
Hugs to everyone who would like one, going to see if I can get some time in the garden if the rain holds off

Still recovering from holiday - hope Mr SD's knee improves soon. We had quite a lot of rain in Scotland but it was warm. Not done much but updated some paperwork. Received renewal for house insurance - horrendous as I expected following last year's leak.
986 Caught up on 48 pages of competitions - only do a few but took ages
987 More Family history stuff filed and labelled
988 Family calendar update
989 Printed papers off for committee tomorrow
990 Email frog to a dozen or so people done so I can tick off at tomorrow's committee
991 Complicated training programme for DS2 put on single sheet of A4 as a colour coded chart (at least I'll know what he is doing even if he doesn't appreciate my admin skills)
I need to find food to eat.

I wonder how many times I'm going to accidentally click report rather than thanks now they've switched sidesJust trying out the new forum. A bit more to report today. I'm bouncing between my laptop photos (already all organised and filed) and my phone photos (all over the place and need filing before I can declutter them further), although I have some apps to try out which look for similar photos so you can choose your favourite ones.Just bouncing around really doing a tiny bit of this and a tiny bit of that without any commitment
Stuff is going, so progress is occurring, it's just harder to see! I did parcel up some books for sale - will get the label printed so I can drop them off for my £7. Better than nothing and the effort was low. Back to decluttering random bits and pieces, so may report back later.

Can't see how to change signature on new format board - total 991It's very irritating. Click on your little picture and then again from the top right, or alternatively use the quick links on the right hand side for "My Profile". When it loads, at the top right there is a turquoise person you can click on for a drop down to get the only option of Edit Profile which you click. Then ignore the useless bit that comes up and at the far right hand side you suddenly have new options, one is "signature settings". Click that and you are on the right page. It's all very clunky. This is on my laptop. Not looked to see if my phone is any better.2025 decluttering: 3,984🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅
