1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
So DH & I have been pottering this afternoon with DH taking time out to watch TT practices. First task was to fix the garage door - all greased & now closes perfectly 🥳 The desk leg had brackets added & we cleaned & Fabloned the side panel for the office desk. I vacuumed the office carpet & then DH attached the leg & side panel. Meanwhile I washed 2 of DH’s jackets & they have been waterproofed in the wm. Now hanging out on whirligig to air dry. I have also dismantled & cut up the 2 old shirts. I now have 18 buttons & a pile of cleaning/polishing rags + have binned the left over scraps.
1435 - 1436 Small bag of scrap material, plastic packaging - binned
1437 - 1438 Cardboard packaging, cardboard box - recycled
I wrote a shopping list & DH has just left (18:15) after watching the TT races. Bolognese sauce made from scratch & now simmering.
So now I will try to catch up on the cheerleading 😉
Great work sorting the under sink cupboard & cleaning your oven Fizz2015 👏 Sorry to hear about your leg injury - I always knew exercise was bad for you…..only joking 🙃 Please rest up & take some painkillers 🙏
QueenJess sounds like the same situation as I’m in - DH takes care of his stuff & when he wants to declutter anything, other than personal paperwork, I am on hand to help 😉 I am very impressed with your entire attitude to decluttering 👏 You know yourself so well that I have absolutely no doubt that you will attain the level of minimalism that you desire 😊 Good luck 🍀
charlies_tribe, so sorry to hear that you have spent so much time in A&E 😔 Hopefully both DD2 & DGD will recover quickly & fully 😊 Surely there is no such thing as spending too much time in the garden 😉Hopefully DH will get the pool sorted soon 🤞 Well done on the decluttering you have done 👏 every little bit helps 🙂 Wishing you success in reigning in your expenditure 🤞
Florenceem, good luck with repairing your oven door catch 🍀
Lovely post vulpix 😊 Good luck with your tidying & planting out🍀
When DH got back from the sm, I put everything away including portioning up meat products & freezing. The spaghetti bolognaise was delicious 🤤 Wudupa.

Hi all, very hot visit to see the new baby who slept for the whole 3 1/2 hours we were there
. Mum is still suffering a bit after the emergency c section but baby is thriving, the health visitor had been in the morning and said he had gained weight which she was very pleased with as apparently babies who are breast fed usually lose weight at this stage. Judging from today all he seems to be doing is feeding and sleeping
. Anyhow we decluttered a car load of stuff to them including 3 large bags of food including some frozen meals, some prepped veg for a stir fry and some snack type things which they were very happy with. We also took the blanket in tissue paper and a bag with a card from my stash, a gift that had been passed to us from a friend, 24 eco nappy things and 3 garments that may be useful to Mum while she is breast feeding. I am claiming 9 for this lot as my fridge and freezer were absolutely full and the other stuff has been sitting in the hall for ages waiting to be delivered
.
It is still very warm now and we have a forecast of 30 degrees for tomorrow though there is a chance of a thunderstorm either tomorrow or Sunday
Right off to bed now, hugs to anybody who would like one
799 - 807 stuff delivered to new baby
Take care everyone

Hello - patch off eye, just need to get my eyes to coordinate again. Decluttered a stack of magazines this evening while my roommate took 6 more months off of her email - 2015 almost done. She also needed to finish her homework assignment - will take another day for that.
Dog loves mac 'n cheese and chicken. Also likes rice and green beans. Good to know if I can't get enough of her dog food.
They are expecting rain here over the weekend! Unheard of this late in the year. Hope it is just enough to water the plants.
Tomorrow working on Family History with a friend. We are working on towns in Durham and Northumberland, with a bit of Scotland thrown in. Tuesday I will be doing Mexican research. Wednesday it is back researching to a French village in Switzerland. Makes it more interesting when I can "travel" at least in my imagination.
Have a good weekend. Take care everyone.17 -
I didn't take before photos of my bathroom but I took after ones to inspire me to keep as is. After all the hard work of the last 8 + weeks - there is no way that I am going back to a mess in the lovely clear & clean areas of the house.
When I married and moved in with Mr F - the bath etc were 1970s brown.
We don't use the bath as even with the handles - find it difficult to get out.
I need to get the toilet roll holder fixed or replaced.
Proud pics of my bathroom....
The shame - if there was a competition for dust bunnies - I would be among the winners. I got down on the floor and looked under a piece of furniture in my hallway - so much dust and fluff. My hallway is now clutter and dirt free.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

QueenJess - yes I love the ducks. Still need to empty the cupboards and clean in them. Plus I need to clean the tile grouting - toothbrush job.
Sad to see just the one toothbrush in the holder though.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

I am deep cleaning the kitchen today.
My youngest DD is coming down from London today - just for a quick visit - gets her hair done here as cheaper.
Had an email from Mr F - he is now allowed to walk with the zimmer to the bathroom unaided.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
