Thankyou to those who sent kind words about son and hubbys bad news this week at least we seem to have sorted my health issue that’s been going on for months…silent reflux it is 🤷♀️ must admit since MIL passed away I’m always thinking worst with health things
hope everyone ok and if not the stress ends soon, I’m sorry but as I’m reading nothing is sticking to put names to it x19 -
Evening All, need to catch up on a lot of posts and thank people properly for the kind wishes and messages. I've never met any of you but the kindness expressed has touched me and means a lot.
Anyway good news my stepdad is now home. Still on steroids and antibiotics plus a lot of different tablets and inhalers but doing OK. My mum has been faced with him being poorly whilst also sorting out my nan's funeral. It will be a celebration of her life and bright colours to be worn.18 -
Quick post to update on decluttering - cleared out a couple of cupboards in the kitchen. Bit more room in it now. Still not quite sure how I managed to have something dated 2016 in there!Sorted through a box of stationery in the bedroom and have got rid of some stuff I no longer have any use for.Sorry to hear that so many are going through a hard time at the moment - sending hugs to all that need them. :-)2024 Fashion on the Ration - 3.5/66.5 coupons remaining1 cardigan - 5 coupons13 prs ankle socks - 13 coupons5 prs leggings - 10 coupons4 prs dungarees - 24 coupons1 cord jacket - 11 couponstotal 63 coupons14

Ooh exciting times ahead @vulpix!
Hope you start feeling better soon @QueenJess.
@Fizz2015 glad your stepdad is home and on the road to recovery, I bet your support for your mum helped her through these tough times. It sounds like a lovely celebration of life for your nan, I hope both you and your mum can take comfort in the wonderful send off your nan will have.
@skogar - I have found the oldest dated things to be the best at hiding at the back of cupboards!
I anticipate a very busy/fraught weekend as it is back to school next week for both dds... neither are impressed with that nugget of information 😁 and ds is still very upset about his sore mouth. So, if you don't hear from me I would like to just wish you all a lovely weekend, I hope you get to spend at least some of it as you really want to. For everyone having a hard time, make sure you spend some time in the tlc carriage: the trials and tribulations of life can wear you down quicker than you sometimes expect. For everyone who has had a great time this week, I am thrilled for you. The happy moments that I hear about on here are what keep me (and I am sure others) going during the low moments. We are all in this together, cheering each other on, consoling each other and celebrating successes big and small- every single one counts.
Now I am going to sweet talk dh into doing the blooming wallpaper tomorrow night or I will have to resort to hiding the treats until the job is finished.

Hugs to all who need them and condolences to those who’ve lost dear ones, wishing you all the strength and courage you need to get through it all.
Not a lot of anything useful done to the Blue Doggy kennel this week, have been feeling a bit yuk, also putting off sorting the re-piled paperwork, because then I’d have to do last year’s filing, which would clear the dining table. And when the dining table’s clear I can start fetching stuff down from the Room of Doom (formerly the master bedroom until burglary in 2012, when it became a dumping ground).
Decluttering this week:
- shrub trimmed, trimmings in garden waste bin
- looked through some of my books, managed to find one to discard (cheap paper has deteriorated so unfit for charity shop, it may go to the community bookshelf in the next village, or into recycling)
- 2 items of junk mail didn’t enter the house but jumped into the recycling bin
- laundry bin emptied (washed not binned!) including my dog’s bed covers
- 4 envelopes from post received - recycling
- 7 leaflets (magazine inclusions) - recycling
- 30 emails
- 1 e-book
- ironing basket decluttered onto airer via ironing boardWishing everyone as good a week as possible.
Good night Mrs S-D! Sleep tight 😴“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Almost halfway. Bearing in mind the date we are at, there's a chance this will be achieved before year end

sorry to hear of various struggles, caught up on a few pages so the one that stood out most...
Siebre you had quite a catalogue there. I seem to remember you have your longer term plan of sorting house to sell and go your separate ways so maybe try to keep focused on that as quickly as you possibly can as perhaps the home situation is contributing to the child issues? Im sure you will have thought of that and I know that will be hard with so many competing issues but once you are more in control of the 3 of yours lives it might settle down a bit. As other posts have said, this stressful time will pass.
Hugs to all other posters and lurkers who are having any problems or anyone who wants one

Evening All
Thanks for my medal, Mrs SD, indeed the shredding will continue 2 pieces of junk mail received In the post today have gone straight through the shredder.
From what I've read here putting your own house in order before you pass or just ad you get older, seems to be the most sensible thing. Making it easier for someone who will most probably be grieving to deal with. I'm lucky that I have a good relationship with my brother, my only sibling, and sorting out my parents and Uncles estate has been as straightforward as it can be, still ongoing after 6 months due to no Will. But I've also seen the other side of it through my parents siblings and seen how ugly it can get, so I feel for everyone dealing with someone else's possessions, which can feel much more important and sentimental than they should do when our feelings are heightened. Things aren't people, but it's hard to think about it like that when you're in the midst of dealing with them.
Gone through another kitchen cupboard and a drawer, to the charity shop:
3 Pyrex dishes/plates that belonged to my mother and I've never used
A plastic container that I used for salad but haven't used in a long while.
Also, talking of things found at the back of the cupboard, I found some ground nutmeg which is 12 yrs out of date, which I have binned as even if its safe its probably a bit stale now.Start where you are, use what you have, do what you can

crazy cat lady, hugs. one door closes ,another one opens. It will be ok. x
Wise words Keith's Mum.
I just dropped in to tell you to blow balloons up Queen Jess. I had glue ear a few years ago and was referred to ENT. You can buy a nose balloon gadget . I threw mine away a few weeks ago. You look ridiculous using it ,but they help.
