They won’t do that as they do not allow overdraft so if you use the funds there would no be fall back..born_again said:You could always contact Chase. Explain the situation to them & they should be able to free up the available funds. Now this does not cancel the authorisation & it can still debit. Which they should warn you about.
But at least it is not tying up your funds.
another thing though: can you check the POS receipt of when you have processed the pre-auth? Some time it prints the full card details (it did so in Bulgaria for me and confirmed the card number was different than the one on the app).0 -
Authorisation timescales are down to Visa/Mastercard. But Car Hire & Hotels have a 32 day period, instead of the usual 14 day period.miller said:Chase seem to have a longer authorisation hold period than most; typically with my other providers these will drop off after a week.Life in the slow lane0
