How to update annual income with Santander?

Hi,
I've got a 0% BT card with Santander it's quite close to the limit, and the limit hasn't changed in a long time. (no missed payment or over limit) I've got the balance in a savings account, ready to be paid off when the BT ends.
I did their eligibility checker and I'm pre approved for a new card, however I would prefer not to open a new account.
I did call them and they offered an income and expenditure form, but I believe that might be for someone with financial difficulties, and the adviser said there was a hard search involved.
Do you know a way to update income with Santander, as my salary has recently increased? - Most banks I use, allow to update your income in the settings or when requesting a increase, however Santander just have a slider where you can adjust to the maximum allowed.

If you don’t want to open a new account, just ignore the form?0

What you could do with Santander, if they allow you to open a new card, is to apply for it using the new salary details and once you get the new card, you could easily transfer the Credit limit across and then close the newer card.0

Probably wants a higher limit on the cardJami74 said:

jay1804 - unfortunately the bank is probably assuming you are struggling to pay off the card so don't want to increase your limit as it looks like you cannot afford to pay it off and need to follow responsible lending rules. They cannot see your savings (even if held with Santander) so cannot assume you can pay it off.
I pay down my BT cards on the basis of total / number of months of offer, so I have had increases on my longest held one (Barclaycard) though the M&S and Santander ones have kept the limit the same even as they are being paid down so obviously different risk profiles0 -
Yeah, I want a higher limit on the current card. I guess there no way with Santander to update details like income.
I don't really want to apply for a new card at the moment.
Thanks anyway.0 -
Can you not apply for an increase in your limit on-line? I’m with Santander and thought I’d seen this option at some point. Perhaps I’m confusing it with an overdraft limit though I’ve never needed to use either facility.0
