I have just re-subscribed to MS365 (I know there are other cheaper or free options but it suits me) and the subscription included McAfee Total Protection. I am in two minds as to whether to install McAfee, is it that much better than Windows Security?

Thanks for any opinions.

    I'm assuming MS365 is Office 365?

That doesn't come with any anti-virus.

Sorry I should have made it clearer it was an offer on the "rain forest" site MS 365 (which used to be Office 365) and McAfee.

I don't see what that has to do with the question, which assuming the OP has Windows 10 or 11 is whether to go ahead with the free subscription for McAfee or use Windows Defender (alongside free Malwarebytes as normally recommended on here). I wouldn't bother with McAfee myself but it's a long time since I've used any commercial AV.

It has everything to do with the question because that is what the OP asked about ("MS365 came with McAfee", and officially it does not).  The purpose was to seek clarification.  Which we now have.

I don't think clarification was needed, but now you have it do you have an answer to the question that was asked?

Do not install McAfee.  Just use the Windows security.

Yes, if you'd bothered to read the thread you'd see my response to the question in my earlier post. Apology accepted in advance.
