in Credit cards
Hi
Just a heads up to anyone else who has the 4% cashback card, as I haven't seen it mentioned yet.
My cashback credited my account yesterday on 17th.
I was under the impression it was due to credit at some point in January.

yeah just checked mine and it's in - thanks for letting me know as I wasn't expecting it until Jan.

Does this mean the next cashback payment won't be until Dec 2008. I was just about to out a large purchase on the card and would rather not wait a year for the c/back0

I've emailed Capital One to ask if there's another cashback payment in January.0

Yep me too! I had thought it was due in January too.
I've got one Capital One card - the 3 month period ended couple of months ago, that is the one that has had about £450 cashback paid in yesterday.
My husband then took out another Capital One card - we are still within teh 3 month 4% period for that, and no cashback has been paid on that one as yet.0 -
My old C1 card paid the cashback in Jan but we haven't got the last statement yet. As we will have £220 odd, that'l be a nice earner.Behind every great man is a good womanBeside this ordinary man is a great woman£2 savings jar - now at £3.42:rotfl:0

I got my cashback on 17/12/07 too!
But I also had a phonecall saying they'd received notification from mastercard that my card was or is about to be used fraudulently so I can't use the card for the next 7-10 days.*removed by forumteam - please do not advertise in signatures*0 -
Does anyone know if I can transfer my cashback to a savings / debit account, or can I just take it out as cash from a cash machine? I paid my last statement in full, so now I'm in credit.
Thanks if anyone can help - never dealt with cash on a credit card before!
KiKi' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0 -
Mine is in too, thanks for the heads up OP!
I too wonder about the January thing (although that was the bulk of our spending during the 3mths 5% so thats ok). So if anyone finds out please do post back!
Kiki you might want to give them a call but I imagine you have to spend on the card instead (ie just do some of your regular shopping to clear the balance).0 -

I have managed to get a refund paid from a CC in credit upon cancelling it before now.
We also have some £50 cashback on another C1 cc so I may have to spend it on something, or maybe we can transfer it to pay off some of the balance on the other C1 card.Behind every great man is a good womanBeside this ordinary man is a great woman£2 savings jar - now at £3.42:rotfl:0 -
Mine came on the 17th too - just after my December statement date so maybe they mean 'Janaury Statement' when they said January?
Anyway luckily I stopped using mine once the 3 months ran out as I want to close now and reapply for this offer or a different one and didn't want to lose cashback / have to wait a year!
Anyway 469 quid for 3 months spendingI think....0
