Trying to cancel Lycamobile

I tried a SIM only deal in October, having seen it advertised on the MSE site. I had checked that the network they use should have been good in my area, but it wasn't. That isn't the issue. I have had so much difficulty trying to actually contact a person. The best result seemed to be when I posted a negative review on Trustpilot, but today I received the most illiterate email from Lycamobile that reads like a bad scam. They haven't cancelled my account since I started asking in October. They have zero customer service. Anyone else found this?

Hi OP
Post a copy of the "illiterate email" that you received the full version minus any identifiable links/names/etc.
A sis-in-law of mine swears by it for calls in the uk but the main reason see has bought the sim is for international calls and it works well for her. She recommended we tried it but we rarely call internationally as use another source.
Many thanks0 -
Are you trying to cancel the service, or transfer the number using a PAC?
Cancelling it will lose you the number. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
I had trouble getting in touch with Giff Gaff, I got in touch with my bank and they cancelled their payment.0

Join your new network and give them your PAC, which will consist of three letter and six digits, e.g. LYC123456. Your new provider will transfer your number within one working day, which in turn closes the Lyca account. If you don't want to keep your number just text 'STAC' to 75075. Join your new network and give them your STAC, which will consist of six digits followed by three letters, e.g. 123456LYC. Your new provider will process the STAC which will close the account and mobile number with Lyca.Alternatively, if you don't want to keep the number, log into the Lyca account or app and switch off auto renewal. No further payments will be taken and the account will close down after a set amount of time in accordance with their T's and C's.Note, if you're on a 12 month pay monthly contract, there will be early termination fees to pay if you cancel before the end of the initial 12 month term.
