I’m with sheramber on are you absolutely sure it’s sciatica?  Have you had a second opinion?

My GP has said because I dont suffer everyday and the sciatica goes and comes back there is no need to any further examination until it gets even worse. It's when I can't control my body I should return.
How bad does your Dr want you to get before they will do something? Have someone wheel you in on a trolley?

See a different GP for a second opinion.
Or get a referral to a specialist and let them be the best judge.

OP please go back to your doctors to get a second opinion and ask for a referral for a scan and to orthopaedic’s.

I have the same symptoms as you day in and day out the only difference is my sciatica is permanent. My scan has shown some bulging and slipped discs and they can see where the nerves are being pinched. It’s is draining feeling like this all the time and the frustration from not being able “to do everything” is unreal but you really do need some answers.
