OpenReach Broadband

I can't seem to get broadband via any OpenReach provider. For example, when I go to the Vodafone website and type my post code in. It doesn't show my house number. The rest of the street is there, but mine isn't. On some providers websites my address is there but it says they can't provide a service.
I have contacted OpenReach and they've said that my chosen provider will need to place an order for a phone line or broadband. I can't do this because they won't accept an order.
I did manage to get BT to say that they would order a phone line for me, but they said that they can't guarantee that I'd get fibre broadband once the line is installed. I asked if I'd be stuck in a 24 month contract and they said yes! I don't have any use for a phone line! They also said that if I can get fibre, I'd have to pay full price for it instead of any new customer deals, they're usually one of the more expensive providers.
Its really frustrating because if I select any other number on the street, they get at least 50mb+ internet. Does anyone have any advice? Could I perhaps complain to another body?

If you want FTTC you need an active phone line. If you don't have an active phone line you probably won't be able to order broadband. If you can get FTTP this removes the need for a phone line but probably includes a higher cost.So the first question is, do you have an active phone line at the address? If so and you have a phone connected (and its BT) you can call 17070 to get the current number and feed that to the provider websites.0

I don't have an active BT phone line. Not had BT for a few decades now. Been with Virgin forever. There is a cable from the pole to my house though for Openreach.
There is no FTTP service here, only FTTC.0 -
Yeah, there's your problem. You'll need one to get FTTC. A cable from the pole to your house doesn't a BT line make. Its probably just been deactivated at the exchange, assuming you have a master socket in your property somewhere. It's quite unlikely you won't be able to get internet or some sort from a phone line if you get one installed.https://availability.samknows.com/broadband/broadband - if you bash your postcode in here, cilck on your exchange and it'll tell you what is available in your area.0

You are stuck between a rock and a hard place , Openreach can correct any data errors , if they are advised by the ISP that provides your service to do an ORDI ( Openreach data integrity ) this aligns address info with what the ‘official’ Post Office records show , but you need to be a customer of an ISP , you obviously are struggling to be a customer because of the possible address error.
TBH , providers can raise orders for addresses that are not ‘Gold’ ( a perfect match with the PO ), but you don’t want to do this and be stuck if it turns out they can get you a line but not FTTC broadband, only slower ADSL from the exchange.
TBH , I recon the problem isn’t necessarily a data error , use your address info with this DSL checker ( you won’t have a phone number that will be recognised so you can only use the address )
https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL
If it shows ‘waiting list’ against VDSL , then the fibre cabinet no spare ports .
