I have solar and a battery. If the sun isn't shining but the wind is blowing I can often fill the battery overnight at cheap rates and use the electric the next day. I'm also happy to run washer/dryer/dishwasher overnight when it's cheaper.
It's a tariff you have to be on top of every day, checking rates and adjusting usage if you want to make the most of it. Again, that sort of thing isn't for everyone, for some of us it's a hobby‘ Currently, you can't be on both Outgoing Octopus AND Octopus Go, our electricity consumption tariff designed for electric vehicle drivers. We've made this decision because both are such incredibly good value tariffs that it would be unsustainable for us as a business – the equivalent of letting people buying goods in a shop using a "3 for 2" offer and then bringing them back for a full price refund! The combination of Outgoing and Agile works really well and offers potential for great savings. You can choose to be on Octopus Go and join our new SEG tariff for Outgoing, offering 4.1p / kWh for your export – just get in touch with our team to take this option.’ Source Octopus0 -
Flexible is what Octopus call their SVT. It comes in either single or dual (E7) rates.
Although you can't have Go and outgoing Agile, you can have E7 and outgoing Agile.
As explained above, you can have incoming and outgoing Agile, but it might not work if you can't flex your usage.
I have PV panels and an EV. But I also have young children that limit my ability to avoid peak demand without a battery. So incoming Agile is not for me even if my E-W PV allows me to benefit from outgoing Agile in the summer months.4.3kW PV, 3.6kW inverter. Octopus Agile import, gas Tracker. Zoe. Ripple x 3. Shame. What can you have if you're on Octopus Go, for exports? Other than the 4.1p?0 -

Though realistically, I can't see how they'd tell if you drive or not if you've got batteries. Certainly not what they intend ofc
How come you're on Octopus agile for imports btw? I too have moved to having the higher energy use stuff overnight0
