Morning ,
Just found his thread and love the idea . Can see it kick starting habits or getting things done that I keep meaning to. Will give thought and post soon.
How do people keep track? I'm someone who writes lists on random bits of paper and has many notebooks so trying to think how I will do this esp if I go over more than a few. Do people have a weekly check in with their selves?3 -
Count me "in", please. I love the idea behind these challenges and have participated in previous years but not in 2022. At the moment, my list isn't fully formed. Here's the start:
- Read 23 books
- Use up at least 23 balls of yarn by knitting or crocheting them into items
- Use 23 new-to-me recipes
- Go to the cinema at least 6 times. (I get "free" tickets via my bank. Might as well use them.)
- Go to the theatre 4 times.
- Run in an organised 5k race.
- Continue with my 15 minutes a day Duolingo. (I'm currently on day 930. Started in 2020.)
- 23 sessions of weight training.
- Socialise 23 times. This doesn't include the weekly pub quiz, RPG sessions, etc, that are already in my calendar.
- Blog at least 23 times.
- Spend an hour per week for 23 weeks, writing that book.
- Do 23 singing lessons/practice sessions resulting therefrom. (My voice and breathing haven't recovered from Covid.)
Items 13-23 TBA.
- Pip"Be the type of woman that when you get out of bed in the morning, the devil says 'Oh crap. She's up.'
It ain’t what you do, it’s the way that you do it - that’s what gets results!

I've thought of another one - #18 on my list.
Decorate my kitchen for £23 - or less if I can! Not as difficult as it sounds as it's only a matter of painting the ceiling, walls and two doors. I know there are a fair few tins of paint in the cupboard, probably part-tins, but I can mix them together. The window blind is on its last legs but I'll not replace it; instead I have some curtains I can alter to fit and also an unused curtain pole. Other than that, it's just elbow grease!Be kind to others and to yourself too.4 -

Oh, I'd love to join this if I could, please!
We have a huge year coming up, which, if all goes to plan then 2024 really will be our year as hubby will be qualified to the highest qualification in his profession! just got to get through these next 12 months of exams (for both of us, but his is more important!) and use this time to organise ourselves and not burn out. So, some of these might seem odd but they will help us in the long run! This is my list, hubby has 10 on his list.
1) Put 23 hours towards LPPL (flight time, exams, and study)
2) Read 23 books (including hobby books)
3) 23 bags to the charity shop (need to declutter!)
4) Lose 23lb weight (also on hubby's list)
5) 23 trips to the cinema (we have unlimited cards, also on hubby's list)
6) Try out 23 new recipes
7) 23 days of Latin (Duolingo, books)
8) 23 days of cooking at home and not eating out!
9) 23 items off the "big to-do list" (in my notebook, might post later!)
10) Enter 23 competitions a day
11) Win 23 prizes this year
12) 1 Date night a month (Also on Hubby's list)
13) Meal plan weekly
14) Make 23 items for Christmas 2023
15) Grow 23 different veg/fruit at the allotment (sounds hard but we are already close to this!)
16) Make £23 a month extra (surveys, Shopmimum, etc)
17) Continue £50 per month Premium Bonds
18) Try for 23 veggie days
19) Try to keep up with Fly Lady
20) 23 RAOK
21) At least 2/3 no spend days a week!
22) Make more of an effort (living in jeans and boots with hair pulled back due to work but now it's a permanent look!)
23) Pay down credit cards
This looks like a long listI am very close on a lot of them though, just need that extra push.
My big to-do list so far consists of -
1) Finish decorating Dining Room (ongoing since September but then got Covid, work, Christmas . . . )
2) Sort planner of the year (arrives tomorrow off Amazon!)
3) Sort bedroom (boxes and boxes and boxes)
4) Finish Horticulture Level 3 Course (Home Study)
