Two quick questions about a Vanguard to IWeb ISA transfer:AlwaysLearnin said:

Was this an in specie fund that you were transferring? There were reports of lengthy delays between Vanguard and IWeb a while ago.AlwaysLearnin said:For info of anyone considering this, I opened an iWeb account on Fri 9th Dec, requested a transfer of previous years amounts from Vanguard on Tue 13th, and have just logged in to iWeb and found that the amounts are showing already (16th). I didn't actually hear anything from iWeb about the transfer after filling in the online form, but did get messages from Vanguard about it. Not too worried about not hearing anything, as long as it all moved over smoothly! All in all, pretty impressed (on both sides)
How does the transfer work at Vanguard’s end? Does the account remain open for you to add to in the next year?
I have current year contributions still in Vanguard, so the account remained open
I have a single vanguard account with a few years’ contributions and a small amount of cash. What happens to the cash when the transfer is made? Does it just get transferred over to the new IWeb account as cash?
Will Vanguard charge a pro-rata account fee at the time of transfer?0

I transferred in-specie from Vanguard to IWeb in Sept, a few past years’ contributions and just 46p cash. The stocks moved first then the cash a couple of days later, all completed in 10 days. I had always paid Vanguard fees quarterly by DD, so no charge at the time of transfer, the DD post-transfer in Oct took care of the final fees payment which were from previous payment until date of transfer.drob4 said:

Just to add, when you request the transfer you have the option to transfer amounts subscribed in previous tax years (has to be all - can't split), or current tax year, or both2

            Thanks for info regarding transfers.
I’m thinking of it like a current account transfer where the Vanguard account is shut completely (if transferring all contributions). Reading the above, it sounds like I may have misunderstood.0

Not like a current account transfer, the Vanguard account remains open, unless you opt to close it.
I left mine open, assuming I'd use it again in the future, since at the point I did the transfer I hadn't used this year's allowance.
My plan is IWeb for holding previous ISAs (cheaper than Vanguard %based fees) and Vanguard for new subscriptions (No buying costs) however this year I wanted to stick with cash so have recently opened the Barclays 1 Year cash ISA which is a decent deal at 4% in the current market. Come April and the new tax year I'll review my situation and decide whether to stick with cash again for next years allowance or revert to Vanguard if I want to use my allowance for S&S again.1

I have opened a new LISA with AJ Bell and put in the max 4k. I already have an ISA with AJ Bell but I have not put in any money yet this tax year so I have 16k allowance still. Should I open the iweb ISA, transfer the AJ Bell and then put in up to 16k? If I put in the 16k in the existing AJ Bell ISA will it break ISA rules?

Is it possible to transfer shares held with Equiniti to iWeb directly into a 22/23 S&S ISA or just to hold with iWeb. Is it also possible to transfer a 22/23 cash ISA to iWeb?0
