Hi
Don`t know if anyone can help but we invested $250 with axis capital earlier this year which allegedly has been invested for us, I have been contacted through whatsapp and told we now have $72090.37. I have asked to withdraw it and have been told the money will be moved to Binance who have emailed me to say I must pay $7499 upfront to cover tax and insurances. I have told them to take that amount from the total and then pay us the balance, but they have said that is impossible and we must pay upfront.
We have not paid as I don`t think we will get any money.
Has anyone had any experience of this and does it sound right?

Sounds like a classic scam, so if you've only lost $250 then probably best just to write it off and realise that it could have been far worse!2

Sounds like a typical advance fee scam. You can be sure that $250 cannot have grown to over $72K in less than a year. The $250 is gone, don't send anymore money, it will disappear too.1

Let me get this right - $250 in, £72,000 out?

It absolutely screams SCAM, do not give these fraudsters any more of your money, and I'm afraid you can wave goodbye to your $250.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Competition Time, Site Feedback and Marriage, Relationships and Families boards.
