Sharing Apple TV

I have signed up to a 6 months free trial of Apple TV through Sky.
I know you can share your Apple TV with other households but is it any different if the free trial is done as a Sky customer offer?
If it can be shared, does my family member use my Apple ID and password to login and enjoy Apple TV at their home?

The way Apple would like you to share Apple TV+ is via their Family Sharing facility - https://www.apple.com/family-sharing/
This allows up to six Apple ID accounts to be grouped as a family.
If you and your family member are already Apple users (e.g. you each have an iPhone or an iPad) then you will already each have an Apple ID, but if you are not, you might have to create a new Apple ID, which takes a little effort.
On the page about family sharing it says "If purchase sharing is turned on, the family organiser will pay for family members' purchases" - so that might be something to be careful about.

Alternatively you could just share a single Apple ID and password between you and a family member - that's not how Apple want you to do things, but it would certainly work if you are not watching at the same time. Not sure if it would work if you do try watching simultaneously.

Extra thought added later: You have to add a payment method to your Apple account to use Apple TV+ - if you share your Apple ID and password, the other family member effectively has access to use these details to pay for other Apple purchases, e.g. iTunes music and videos etc., so that is worth being cautious about, depending on who you are thinking of sharing with.
