    Maybe it became too popular?
I'm glad I switched myself and my father to it just in time.

So what's the "free" sim all about?

I put one in my spare phone but it won't be in my main phone until they enable Wi-Fi calling.

A free sim. You order it and put it in your phone, but you can't make calls until you topup.
If you topup £15 you qualify for a free monthly bundle.

It hasn't been promoted on their site for a while. It wouldn't surprise me if they increased the minimum topup amount to £10 before long, as the admin costs are disproportionate.

The way you have to type your telephone number into a textbox on the top-up web form makes me think it is being processed manually on the other end. Does anyone know?
  • Yea, pretty sure it's all done manually. RWG have a weird setup tbh but their support is top notch.

That's not a sustainable top-up model, far too laborious. For instance what happens if someone mis-types their mobile number on the top-up form?

I think that has happened. Posts on this forum about bundles not being applied to accounts and needing to call Cs to sort. To be fair though after the initial topup you can topup by calling 669 with a credit card or voucher. It is pretty weird that nowmobile will then process the payment when their rates are different to rwg prices.
  • Ive had this when it was free free ive never paid them a penny

CS is very good on email i had a voicemail issue and had a few back and forth email over 2 hrs and they fixed it

works perfrectly and im a low user so i will run it as long as it lasts

i reckon evenually they will ask for £15 from me
