When you go through the 'shipping and delivery' option in the contact us section - you get brought to the above 4 options. They should be able to connect with live chat or phone for an instant answer - or email if they prefer.

No idea but if it was a scam the site would have to look like Parcelforce. The furniture company Homary has an up market website so I doubt the message came from them, i would think the best thing they can do is give them a ring
    Morning

The highlighted bit. Have you not having asked me these questions not bothered to look at the site mentioned in the OP's post?
Does that not give the game away?

    Thanks

If they enter their email address and order number to the link above - it should take them to the tracking of their order.

There'll not be a £1 charge to track a Parcelforce delivery.

It appears to be a multi-national supplier - although seems to have a base in the UK - do they know where in the world their product is coming from?
    Morning

Please note that is not the company that the OP has mentioned in their post

    Thanks

The OP hasn’t provided a link - but has provided what they thought the company was by a description they’ve been relayed by the family member   - and from that description it can be seen that there’s never been a website homary.Uk - homary however has an international presence - and they put the Uk in front of the website here rather than after like many other companies do. I’ll put my neck on the line to say this was the company the op was referring to from years of experience in the field. But will happily stand corrected if the op comes back and corrects us all.

    Hi

Thank you but I'm not assuming anything and the reason for this is their question re post office.

On the basis of probability, you are correct, IMHO its a 50/50 and I feel it is this because of the co the OP posted.

Having stated the above, IMO, you have a slightly better chance of being spot on than me.

    Enjoy your day :)

If they searched for tracking or something similar on google - there are often 'paid adverts' that link to scam sites that do offer tracking for a fee, that could be the cause (similar happens for driving licence renewals with the DVLA - see the photo below - DVLA is actually the 5th link on the search results - the first 4 will charge you a fee) - without knowing exactly what they searched for and clicked there's not much more I can add - but tell them when they are using the internet to look on their search results for any listing indicating that it's an advert rather than a search result (you might have to show them the difference on screen) and tell them never to click on the advert links. Glad it's all arrived though.

One useful thing for internet safety is to know roughly what the website URL should be.  They should actually Google 'tracking parcelforce.com' or for anything government related (tax, driving licence, benefits, whatever) always include gov.uk in the search.  The same goes for anything like energy questions, include their supplier's website in the search. That should take them to the real results rather than adverts.
