    Hi!

Sounds like a good start, a couple of things I noticed:

    * Experian - do you need a monthly statement? If you go through Pigsback you can get a free trial plus piggypoints
    * Snooper - what is this?

    Hi,

Experian, i've been cheeky and tried to get the pigsback points back dated :p although doubt it will work. Probably dont need it monthly but it is handy to check. Just havent got round to cancelling it as you cant do it online, you have to phone them up

Snooper is a gps camera detector which you can download as often as you use it to get the positions of fixed speed cameras and popular places of where the safety camera vans sit. I drive alot so is very handy, especially when driving on roads you dont know

    hello you,

Just had a read through hon and you are doing really well so far.:T Re snooper. did you know that you're local govt puts speed camera locations on their websites daily so you have a chance to avoid them.. but a better method of saving the money.. slow down slightly?:p

thats fantastic news about the christmas spends. You have the drive and motivation to get where you need to be and with GF's support you will be there in no time! keep it here hon and we'll be with you all the way.
    Good luck!!!

  • Hey P!

Snooper was more for when the gf was at uni due to distance, they put up and took down the cameras all to regularly.

Suppose i could look at cancelling it now though. Slow down slightly, thats the other pedal right?!

Didnt have a very DFW weekend, went out and spent lots. Pub friday, stayed in sat night. Out to lunch sunday with gf and friends and then out in the evening with the gf. Needed to fill up with petrol aswell.

£135 later  and now back to work, although i did manage to count Cartman which was £31 so im now ready to start a fresh for the sealed pot challenge!

    The other pedal lol.
    :D
Just read your thread and I think you're doing really well. You'll have even more debt-busting cash if you decide to dump Snooper and Experian.
Think i'll sort this out in January and get rid of both, im not doing as much driving now as i was.
Don't feel guilty about your spends last weekend, as long as you enjoyed it.
Yea i enjoyed it thanks, although my head didnt saturday morning :rotfl:
The trick is NOT to put it all on the CC then only pay the minimum. But you've learnt that already.;)
Unfortunately yes, already learnt that one the hard way :o
All the best for 2008 :)

Many thanks, and same to you

  • Happy New year all! Here is to a better 2008.

Well can quite happily say that is a xmas i'd rather forget. :(

Got a phone call xmas eve saying gran had a stroke and was in hospital, then got another phone call half way through xmas dinner saying that she had a severe stroke and that they thought she had two days at most.

(she lives in Scotland and we live in SE England) so mum and dad went off upto Scotland at 3am boxing day. I made the VERY difficult decision not to go as I wanted to remember my gran as she was and had been told she didnt recognise people (her son, my uncle) and had no movement down her right side.

I lost my other gran a few years ago and one of my last memories of her isnt a pleasent one and unfortunately i find that is the memory i remember when i think of her and didnt want to have a similar memory of my other gran.

She is proving them all wrong and getting stronger every day so i have eveything crossed that she is going to pull through.

So wasnt really in the mood for going out much over xmas. Which meant that I didnt really spend alot and New year was spent at a friends house party, so again a fairly cheap night! Now going to look at the bank account.

  • Sorry to hear about your gran. It's always a hard choice that, but glad to hear she's on the mend a bit. Hugs to you, and well done on how you've been doing with the debt so far.
