Oh me me me me! :hello: :rotfl:
Remember when i used to bite round the choc and biscuit bit leaving the biscuit, orange and choc in the middle, then eat the biscuit underneath then pick the choc off the top and be left with the orange bit. Anybody else used to do that?
Been trying to work out how much money i would need for when me and the gf get a house. Can anybody give me any ideas on costs for a 3 bed house for the two of us for food, water, elec, council tax etc. basically all the bills you can think of?
I want to work out some rough budget so i know what im going to need.Debt Now~Total-£14,366.72~CC-£1,600.00~Sofa-£1,349.01~Loan-£11,417.71

£100.00 Council Tax (as per guess)
£33.00 Water (Is this each or between us?)
£50.00 Gas/Elec (Same as above?)
£25.00 B&C Insurance (Same as above?)
£10.50 TV Licence (Each)
£75.00 Food (This is each does that sound realistic?)
£12.50 Phone/Internet (Mobile from work is free and has loads of minutes so dont need home phone really) (This is each)
£100 Petrol
Total: £1,091.06
Tax home per month £1,180
Leaving £88.94
Leaving me with f**k all money:eek:

Hi Eamd,
Just read through your thread. It's really impressive what you've done so far. :T
Hope you have a good week off ('cause it sound as though you could really do with one after working all those hours) and your gran is fine and out of hospital soon.
Oh vouchers:- reading the OS boards a lot of people seem to go for the Boots vouchers specifically for the sale that's on at the moment (I believe it's still on but living out the country I'm not sure). They then stockpile all the cosmetics/shampoo etc stuff or buy next years Christmas presents. It makes the vouchers go further, very OS/DFW
Cheers,

Morning all,
Last day of weekend work for a while :j
@ dND - Many thanks, when i build up my next one i'll think about holding onto them for xmas. Funnily enough the voucher arrived last night and gave it to the gf, kept asking what it was for :rotfl:
Can anybody else see anything wrong with the list above or is there anything i've missed out that anyone can see?
Had a bit of a blow out last night went out for food and then to the cinema with some friendsTotal cost £31.99 plus got a £2 coin in my change so £33.99 not that bad but still unbudgeted. Gf paid for the cinema tickets so that saved me a bit.
Kind of made me realise how hard it is going to be clearing my debts by using my budget as it leaves little/no margin for doing things like i did last night.:(

TV licence is between you. You just need one per household. Water will depend on whether it's a meter, I think new build are always on meter(?), then it's amatter of how much you use. Or if no meter it's a fixed amount depending on rateable value.
Don't beat yourself up, you've done so well. You just need to budget in some me time & spends.:beer:CCs @0% £24k Dec 05 £19,621.41 Au £13400 S 12600 Oct £11,981 £9481 £7500 Nov £7250 D £7100 Jan 6950 F £5800 Mar£5400 May £4830 June £4660 July £4460 Aug £3200, S £900, £0 18/9/07 DFW Nerd 0420 -

Tv licence as P said it was £21 for the first few months just havled this so it was a "worst case" secenario.
Every time i have me spends it puts back my debt free date which i is what my target it so dont want.
Gf kept offering to give me money for meal and food at cinema but havent taken her out for a while cause of my money saving so kept saying no
She kept asking if last night fell in my budget aswell. Its nice that she understands what im doing and that i can tell her about it.Debt Now~Total-£14,366.72~CC-£1,600.00~Sofa-£1,349.01~Loan-£11,417.71

Hey all! :hello:
Hope everyone is ok?
With the last week of January being manic and then me having my week off i've neglected my diary but im back now!
My gran has been told they can no longer detect the infection so really happy about that! She is still in hospital but she is making progress now the infection is gone so hopefully she will get home soon :j
My clear a debt by April challenge was done by the 4th of Feb! So pleased with myself on that front!
My next target is my mint card by november! That one will be difficult as wont have the overtime to help!
Although i havent been on here i didnt really fall of the wagon. Last week in January i was over budget but not by alot (i dont think ) and last week when i was off i spent some money i put aside for me but didnt really spend alot.
Also made a little payment to my mint card to bring it down to round figures!
Now need to go and update my signatures etc!Debt Now~Total-£14,366.72~CC-£1,600.00~Sofa-£1,349.01~Loan-£11,417.71
