    HI eamd,

Make sure you have a relaxing day when you have a day off, if you get overtired you'll start getting p**d off with the budgeting and money saving.

I can't save big coins either as this is a lot to my weekly spends, instead I save 20p and under in a pot then count it up when full!

R.e credit cards, I have no will power so I don't have one. 3 years ago before I moved house my debt was about £40k and a lot of that was on credit! I just have a weakness for them.

What hours are you working today?
  • I havent really got "set" hours but will work till at least 4 probably more like 5-5.30

Thinking i might take first week in feb off as need so time to chill and relax, had alot going on the last few weeks which have been extremely stressful and think things have started taking their toll.

I've got another pot for all my other change which is now whatever I have left cash (to the round £5) from my weekly challenge. Not sure how much i'll have in there now but should be about £10 i think.

The credit cards will be going but i want to keep one for REAL emergencies but ALL the others WILL be going. Im also thinking about lowering the limit on it as it is £10,500 at the minute and is sitting with a £700 balance. Trying to decide what would be a sensible limit but then at the same time after paying all of this off i hope i won't be stupid enough to do it again so the limit doesnt matter, im confused now! :rotfl:

Is you lower the limit maybe you'll be less tempted to use it and it definitely will be for emergencies only.

Being nosey - what's your job?

Hey EAMD you're doing brilliantly - I've just read from start to finish!!

Don;t forget to have "me" time - a week off in February sounds a good idea as long as you don't do anything too costly !!!! :rotfl:

I'd reduce your credit card to £1k. if its only for emergencies. I'm really annoyed as bank has given my 18 year old a limit of £600 and hs is only a student - have to say he is in second term at uni and has not yet used his O/D of £200 so he porbably has head screwed on properly!!!

You'll be debt free in no time and then you'll be set for life as you've gone through the mill now and not when you are bogged down with a mortgage, etc!!!!

Thats what i was thinking but cant decide what a sensible limit would be or if i should just leave it.

Many thanks. No wont be doing to much probably just chill at home, relax, play boys toys and find everything i can to ebay :money: so would be a productive week. Also i'd spend some time with my mum. Wouldnt be particularly DFW but worth it i think to have some me time :j

They gave me an £800 CC when i was 18 and that is where my downward spiral began unfortunately.

Re the limit i was thinking of taking it down to £3k i know that is still big but is alot better than what it is now. Going put some serious thought into this one.
