It's great that you can do this without taking the payrise into account, that way any extra is a bonus and can eithe r be play money or add it to the debt repayment money.. you do realise if you pay them both off your debt will be nearly 7k!!!!! Hows that for motivation!! sub 10k and very nearly sub 7k!!!
debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!
    :heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:
  • Cheers P,

Cant take payrise into account as dont know what it will be yet!

Taking into account the monthly loan payments and if everything goes to plan then I will be sub £5k! When i get payrise it will all be going on clearing debt! I want it all gone as soon as possible!

  • Morning All!

Got paid my overtime today so that is another £400 off my Abbey CC balance! :j That means only another £700 to go and it will be cleared, that has also put me sub £13k for the first time in AGES (it was around £15k for aslong as i can remember)! Once the Abbey CC is cleared then its onto the mint card

Got another £2 in my change aswell so my £2 savers club seems to be doing reasonably aswell!

Time to update my signature and have a :coffee:

  • >>>>> i.e months when you've had to put things on CC do you still include what you have paid off as progress or just the movement over the month?

Cut the cards up. That's the only way you can't spend on them in shops etc. Yes you can keep the info and shop on line but that's not an impulse buy but a considered buy because you have to sit down in front of a computer and by that time you will have thought if you REALLY NEED THIS ITEM etc and generally you won't.

Believe me the only way is to cut up the cards now..... if not you will end up with a sig tag like mine........
    Best of luck

  • I there, I havent cut the cards up, i will be keeping the Abbey card for Emergencies, this is the one with the lowest APR so makes sense to keep it but im now in the frame of mind that i know what my plans are and also know that i will keep to my not spending on cards (i havent for 2 months) unless it is a REAL emergency (ie car needs fixed before my car fund is big enough)

Once the Mint and Barclaycards are cleared they will be going though!

  • Morning All,

Well its Sunday and im at work again, havent had a day off in 2 and a half weeks and got another week and a half till I'll get one.

Getting to the point im shattered but never mind.

Well i suceeded in Moozies weekly challenge again this week so happy about that. I've cut my budget down for next week so will see how i get on with that.

Started today, went and got my paper and got two £2 coins as my change! Great, this £2 savers club really doesnt help when your trying to use as little money as possible!

Last week on Lunches i spent £2.39 compared to approx £20-£25 before i started being a DFW, so have really cut down there! :T

Also quite pleased at how well my monitoring of my spending is going! Im keeping it upto date every day and taking out my budgeted money for the week on sunday so am only paying by cash. Another change as I always used to pay by debit card for things which makes it alot harder to keep track of your spending.

How everybody is having a good weekend?

    Right time for a :coffee:
