Jet 2 - how will they pay me

A few months ago jet 2 said to me

We’ve looked at the reasons for the disruption to your flight and recognise that the precise reasons for this specific delay were not straightforward. In view of these circumstances, we’re pleased to tell you that we intend to pay you compensation on this occasion, in line with the rules for delay
compensation. '
When and how will they compensate me? how long will i have to wait? if they forget do i take them to court?

Ours was sent out by cheque on Friday afre we had chased them up the previous weekend.0
