While I understand @movilogo may not have had a physical PO close enough to buy stamps from so bought them online, I don't think I'd buy stamps online from anybody other than RM (or the PO - whichever...)

Don't RM/PO sell stamps online?

They do. And for a number of years now, RM supply and have allowed many shops, newsagents and supermarkets to sell you booklets of them. I tend to buy mine at the local card shop - they usually even ask you at the till if you want any when you buy a card. 

You can be almost certain that the booklets are genuine, unlike the sheets that you see for sale from foreign buyers on ebay and amazon.

Just received probably the same generic letter saying the stamps we sent in are fraudulent. We are a family, we hardly buy stamps, so when we do, we get them from the post office when posting parcels (and no, we don't keep the receipt - we're normal people!!!).Only had about 6 stamps to swap, but for me it's the principle. RM send out these generic letters and destroy your stamps without providing a shred of evidence to support their claims. They then don't have to pay - it's all too easy for them. Bullying tactics. Everyone should submit complaints - not sure how fair/objective it is that you have to complain to RM about RM in the first instance, but that might be a starting point - just don't send your complaint in the post (wouldn't want to be involved in a fraudulent service!!!!!!!).

It took 2.5 weeks between sending the old ones and receiving the new ones.
