How to get a voicemail notification on Android phone!?
Sorry @RumRat, whats a 'third party launcher' ? Another app that I take phone calls on? (in which case, no)
No Problem you would know if you were. It's an app that changes the appearance and behaviour of your phone (App layout etc) instead of just using the Samsung system. I'm sorry, I'm now at a loss of what to suggest going forward.
Drinking Rum before 10am makes you A PIRATE

Thanks @Ru@RumRat . Youve been very helpful. At least I know its not something simple/stupid that Im missing. TBH I dont get many voicemails so its not a massive issue, but it has caused me to miss 3 voicemails last month. It seems like such a simple usability issue that could be easily rectified, but obviously its beyond my capabilities. No matter. Thanks again!
I turned off voicemail as my phone shows missed calls and if the number is in my contact list then I know who called. Invariably if you get a missed call if it is important they will ring back and if the number is unknown do you actually want to talk to them

My opinion as well, if its important they'll ring back but mine shows a missed call icon so I can check. |If its a number I dont recognise I'll see if they've left a voicemail but I'll not phone back unless they have left a voicemail and identified themselves
Dunno if I've ever seen or noticed an actual voicemail notification as I dont get enough of them to worry about it.
Just tried it - not only do I get a missed call icon, I get an SMS text and a notification blob on the SMS icon, I also get a notification on the home screen when I activate the phone, so its pretty hard to not know that there's a voice mail waiting in the system
Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers
