Shell Energy Broadband account declined

Just expressing my "miffed-ness". Had a look on MSE site for the current deals, we're out of contract with Vodafone, but not yet eligible for full fibre, it's not yet connected in our road. So thought the Shell Energy deal with the £67 back and £110 Amazon card was really good. Applied. Then they sent me over a contract etc. But the next day they said sorry our credit check has come back and shown that you're not eligible. Wowzer! So I though OMG what's happened. Log in and have a quick look. 964 out of 1000. So I'm scratching my head.
I'm just going to assume that it's because it was such a good deal that they are turning people away, and not actually checking their credit file
. Although my miffed-ness will increase if a search shows up that then drops my sore. I'm working really hard on it to keep it in good standing.

Check you actual credit files to see what appears. Never the pretend scores, which are neither seen nor used.

Yeah ignore that 964 thing, it means diddly squat in the real world. As above, go and look through the files themselves and see what might have spooked them.0
