Wifi calling
I've been given a new phone (not totally new, refurb, but new to me) and this does wifi calling. I have two SIMs, one from 3 and another from RWG. I have read somewhere here that RWG doesn't support wifi calling... is that correct? If so, perhaps I use just the 3 SIM.
Also, if I understood the technical bits correctly then wifi calling should work with any wifi connection, no matter where. So in theory wouldn't this mean that if I'm abroad and have wifi calling and a good wifi connection I could avoid roaming charges? (I know that the cost of calls/SMS is still the same.) I googled but found no conclusive answers.
Thank you.

By the way,iv used rwg in spain, and you can use all your data allowance ,i upped my free bundle for a month.
No £2 a day charge either0 -
Thanks, Alan. I assume that 3's wifi calling being only for the UK is a business decision and not a technical requirement? If so, I can see that they wouldn't like to lose a tidy source of income, so that makes sense (for them) but it's a shame (for us).
Once RWG support wifi calling (do you have any idea when?) then that's a moot point.

Vodafone say WiFi calling is for the UK only but then acknowledge in some circumstances it may actually work whilst you are abroad and then cover off how they cost the calls as per the above link.
If there are circumstances in which it may work for Vodafone it seems inevitable that its similar for the others.1 -
